  1. Mah bad, was on phone so I didnt catch it...any way, reAgents would be pretty cool then. >_<
  2. Ok, this past week I was in charge of clearing out my basement, and among the old baby clothes and and old batman action figures...I came upon an old box full of books. What I found next brought back nostalgia and wonder (as in wondering how the hell it ended up in the basement.) I had found my old R.A. Salvator books and my oooooold D&D manuals. After re reading my fantasy books and looking through these ancient tomes of yore, I noticed that there was a common underlying that most magic required not only mental integrity (mana) but also some sort of reagent or catalyst. Now you all are probably wondering what I am getting at, to put it plainly, would anyone be able to add or more precisely would anyone be interested in a reagent system added to skyrim's magic system (example: to cast the flames spell you need some eye of newt or some other item of course lore friendly or new). I know that this would make casting magic somewhat of a pain at the beginning of the game, since you start out with no equipment essentially. (maybe add some reagents to the starting chest, or in the starting gear of the winterhold beginning of alternate beginnings.) After reading these books i thought that these mage heroes were more in line to what a mage should be, and that it would add more tactical awareness and a little depth to the class. (i also noticed that Skyre, i think, adds a system somewhat in line to my ideals with their necromancer summoning system.) I will be trying to add something like this, but if anyone more skilled likes this idea...get to it! Also if something like the is already available I would appreciate being pointed in the right way, search gave me no results -_-.
  3. Bumping because I am wondering what the solution to this problem is as well. I started my own thread before seeing this one...but instead of necro'ing that one I went to this one because it seems that it would be help to more than myself. And, if i recall correctly, Beth said that we would be getting "the tools" that they used to make the game...if that is the case I feel sorry for the poor saps that had to put new spells in the game. though we could all just be missing something so simple.
  4. Ok long story short, downloaded all (most) the magic enhancing mods of the game and loved them. I give major kudos to Xilver and all the others who have done what I am trying to do. Now you all are probably wondering why I am trying to do this when there are perfect options available, well apart from mild curiosity I want to make it my own. So what I need to know is how to add a brand new spell. Such as Fel flames, basically the flames spell but green and imposes fear on the target. I have the gradient files the hue I need and I have the spell outline made, but I cannot combine the two, I either have the spell active all green and pretty...but all the flames are green. (not good) Or I would have the regular flame color (not what I want.) I may be looking over something so simple, but after working on this thing for hours I am ready to pull my hair out. Sorry if this is common knowledge and I am just slow, or if this has been asked. Any help would be welcome. Also I am not trying to step all over the mods already made.
  5. It just always bothered me, here I am Mr. fire and death killing everything in my path. After I am through with the carnage and looking around at the pretty scorch marks and charred husks (no I am definitely not like this in real life!) I see 1 gosh darn kid walking towards me telling me that since I am new in town he will not pull any pranks on me or some other nonsense. The way I see it is if I am an all powerful magi, warrior, or whatever; I should have to watch out where I am hurling my fireballs or whatnot. That and if you think about it, you just killed everyone they ever knew. Then on top of that you pillaged anything of worth...THEN!!! you go on your merry way nary a stray thought to the child you left behind. (yes I know it is a video game, but come on its all about immersion.)
  6. Saber kitty mount and companion...probably the mount first so that when my mount goes into battle mode...it is not as ridiculous as a horse (the cowardly horse mod helps though.)
