Funny mine autodetects at medium, which is rather worrisome as I can run Metro 2033 maxed. Theres NO difference between detail settings in performance. I can confirm that something's broken with AA. Check my previous posts. Now I've disabled AA and run fxaa. Shadows were at medium already but using Nvidia inspector I added Ambient occlusion in compatibility mode for oblivion. I've now have good 60 fps indoors(ocasional drops for no real reason). 35 to 45 fps outside, but drops to 20 fps!! in Whiterun. But now it lags atrociously in skill menu only. Drops to 4 fps lol. Was running AA at 2 and while I didn't have huge variations in fps I never had good fps, short of staring at a wall. AA is definitely causing problems. People with older rigs run it at max without problems, I'm happy for them but its kinda a wtf?! moment. My other games run good. Rig-1075 phenom 2, gtx 560ti, 8gb ram

Yeah I guess I'm basically stuck with it. Normally I'd play some other game while waiting for the hopefully inevitable fix, but this is SKYRIM baby! It's just soooo awesome. I'm just sad cause I've been tweeking .inis for like 2 hours each day the last few days. Between that and making mods I've actually played the damn game less that fixing it. Well guys, those that can, have fun playing.

I just wanted to ask is it normal for me to have really bad performance with Skyrim. On top of Whiterun stairs its 24FPS, in the city its between 30 to max 40 Wilderness is always bellow 40, so are interiors. Only staring at a wall gets me 60. I actually get way better performance in Whiterun city than anywhere else, even inside. 2x AA and 4x Anistropic and all settings at High not ultra. 1680x1050 1075 Phenom 2 x6 gtx 560ti 8gb Ram GPU is always at 97%+ usage while the cpu is like 10% to maybe 20% I've tried all sorts of tweaks and fresh installs and clean newest drivers, nothing works. Btw. Skyrim autodetects at medium but other games have usually good performance. Please help if you have any ideas or if you are having similar problems.
