  1. In response to post #23595219. #23595369, #23595554, #23725649, #23781804, #23812314, #23813704, #23819184, #23825634 are all replies on the same post. Kudos to you for that. I absolutely agree with you. I'm afraid that if Mods get monetized, we'll be flooded with after market "Horse Armors" left and right. No offense to the Skyrim Horse armor mods, I'm referring to the Oblivion DLC. All of these small, mostly cosmetic and costly mods will come out of the woodwork, and the large, massive content collaborations like Immersive Armors, Falskarr, etc will never see the light of day.
  2. I would love Hiccup's armor. He looks so badass. Maybe have different versions of the feet, one prosthetic for each leg, and one set with two feet.
  3. In response to post #8157183. #8157327, #8157354, #8157384, #8157390, #8157694, #8157767, #8158284, #8158673, #8159170, #8159668 are all replies on the same post. Who knows, I might actually play it.
  4. Hmm, where would I find these "Chain Lightning Arrows"? Haven't seen them before. Of course I wouldn't be able to find the mod I was thinking of now. /facepalm it was probably removed, or had a weird name. anywho Here is a mod that has Chain Lignting ball arrows, which I think from the description makes nearby enemies explode with a shock explosion, Close enough I think for a starting point maybe? http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9280
  5. I've seen Chain lighting arrows, which are kinda cool, but would it be possible to make a chain lightning enchantment for weapons, i.e. causing a chain lightning effect when an enemy is hit with a weapon with the enchantment? The effect for bows would be the same as the CL arrows you get in some mods. I would like to swing a great sword and hit all enemies in the vicinity with cast off.
  6. Is it possible to import a static mesh from another nif, and assign it to a bone? Assuming I only want it to attach to one bone and not flex or bend with the body, just follow that one bone and rotate with it? I'd like to bypass exporting and weighting and then somehow getting it to back in.
  7. Congratulations, you just got this page a permanent spot in my speed dial! Thank you for this, I plan to do a lot with this!
  8. I would also like a mashup tutorial for armor. I did find one for static meshes, but it doesn't work for armor, at least not entirely.
  9. Christ, why did they do that the hard way? How difficult would it have been to simply add a dialog similar to the model picker that would allow you to pick a texture for it? This explains why many of the male and female models have identical uv maps, and two separate paths with identical textures in them. The prisoner's cloths are prime examples. the male, female, and ragged trousers all use the same texture, but have different paths. They would have saved quite a bit of file space had they simply made it so that different models can point to the same texture, or one model can use multiple textures. Now that my ranting is complete, can anyone point me to a tutorial about these texture sets?
  10. Yeah that's what I did. Works great. It's nice having all the bsa's extracted in an offsite folder so you can use it as a mod reference.
  11. Just tried bsa browser, and it doesn't work. It opens the bsa, reads it correctly, but promptly freezes when you try to extract the files. I used it on Skyrim-textures.bsa
  12. Mine is a different problem, but still a creation kit error. I opened steam, went to the tools menu in the steam library and installed the ck. Now, it is completely installed and ready to play according to steam, however. I'll click on it, I'll get the usual "preparing to launch" notification, but once that goes away, nothing. I've reinstalled a few times and even validated the files, but it simply refuses to launch. I cant even find the system files for it. Any ideas? Edit: Ok, I realized that I'm a bit of an idiot, and that the install files are in the skyrim folder itself, but it still won't launch. Edit: Ok, I did a little digging around, and found it was a directx error. I reinstalled the latest directx and it works now. If anyone is having the same issue, then try updating directx.
  13. Yes, I did that once, and got past bleak falls barrow, and it went normally until I reached High Hrothgar. I walked in, demonstrated my shout for master Angier, and then another bug. The rest of the grey beards ignored us. they wouldn't come to do the initiation. I tried the setstage thing again, it worked, but I refuse to go through the game skipping all of the quests. I think I'll try a clean reinstall since it seemed to work for sirknimrac. Thanks for your help though.
