  1. It's too early for new modders, you need to wait for Creation kit or you will lose your nerves too soon. My advise is to download some simple mods manually and see how they are packed so bit by bit with logic you will get it. Second I would try with Fallout 4 and Creation kit just to learn the basics and also I would find some tutorials for Nifscope and start with that too. I think that you can find plenty tutorials for Skyrim and Fallout. You don't need to like those games and you don't need to play them, but there is stable Creation kits and other plugins for 3D software like for 3Ds Max for example so you will be able to learn all that jazz until Ck for Starfield and other stable software release. Other thing, you are pretty much limited in this point, you can't do much, mostly is text edits and .ini files. I have 29 mods so far (many was erased) but only 3 for Starfield and I'm waiting CK as well because this 3 mods burned my nerves and time. If you want you can use all of my mods for Fallout and play with them. If you don't want nothing besides Starfield then like other guys said go for textures or try what I did. I changed circle for scanner and ship but for that you will need sfw editor and BAE so you can extract files from game. So install BAE and just drop Starfield - Interface.ba2 from DATA folder and unpack file that you want to edit. After that you will need JPEXS Free Flash Decompiler so you can edit this file. In JPEX you can unpack shapes in .png and edit it in Photoshop, then import it in JPEXS again and save like new edited file. After that you need to find path for mod...the easiest way to trace path is to see it in BAE and then you need to make new folders and place it in DATA folder like the path says: In DATA folder create folder interface (with small letters like you see in picture) and drop your file in it. If you see more folders from left to right you need to make them too (for example if you click on testdata and under you pick other file you need to make new folder named testdata and put edited file in it (DATA-interface-testdata-your file)). BAE: BAE - Bethesda Archive Extractor JPEXS: https://github.com/jindrapetrik/jpexs-decompiler
  2. Overall the game is shallow. I played Skyrim about a year until I discovered CK so I played with CK since, also Fo4 and I played Fo4 several times. This game just had good or better word big marketing. Dialogs (in my opinion) are boring and too long so I started soon to skip dialogs even in the main quest, all planets are pretty much on the same page with some basic differences, go on planet scan and thats it, you have couple landing zones, couple natural zones, couple posts, caves are 80% the same. Many outposts and farms are just copy paste. I was on the same outpost 10 times in 10 different missions. For me NG+ was the best thing in game because it's new, nothing more and I liked ship builder. Now I'm just waiting for CK.
  3. You can also edit in Nifscope but it's limited. So I managed to rotate wings in Starborn ship but I can't solve wings in port. It's fine when it fly but when it lands wings stays 90% off from original.
  4. You must update your game as well. Every SFSE update follows game update so new sfse version don't work with older game version and vice versa. Roll back sfse or update game. Also if you update game version you must update other mods besides sfse as well, like console command runner and other mods that sfse requires.
  5. Do you have SFSE? Sfse using different folders for mods. Try to install mods with Mod manager instead manually.
  6. That is good news, skyrim76! Thanks for the heads up! You are welcome. If you want post that link in some more useful topic. I wanted to post it in sticky but there is just CK topic.
  7. Finally I "discovered" Nifscope updated for Starfield after 2 weeks so I will try something if I remember how to work in Nifscope. I opened meshes in it and I saw a lot of markers so maybe there is solution. Thanks for answer. Edit, If someone wants Nifscope for Starfield: https://github.com/hexabits/nifskope/releases/tag/v2.0.dev9
  8. Hi all, I'm waiting Creation kit because all this text modding is just confusing and annoying, I tried and make couple mods but lost my nerves already. I wanted to make mod that when you enter your ship you enter it in different angle (90%, 180% etc). For example when I enter the ship I'm facing wall in my hab but doors are left and behind me so I wanted to rotate entering marker (port) in 90% so when I enter I'm facing the door (hatch). I don't know is it mesh, nif, swf, script or whatever related. Can anyone look into it?
  9. "Reset" computer, reinstall, formated hdd? Well then you lack of some driver then. You can always try to manually download and add .dll files but it's better that first you find problem. Did you installed all drivers, DirectX, graphic drivers...etc? Maybe you can try with windows update, or if you want to be extreme than go on this page and download required dll files: IMPORTANT: NEVER download .exe installer or any kind of fix tool, just go on manual .dll download and choose your system first. https://www.dll-files.com/
  10. I don't know if I understand you correctly but it can be installed normal with NMM. I see that you posted that mod yesterday and you must wait a bit until Nexus scan all files and add NMM button.
  11. Ok, you are absolutely right.
  12. Why do you have something against questions. If you don't want to answer and try to help, then just skip that topic. I have Pc with I can play FO4 on ultra but in Vanilla, but with mods there is always some issues. Mods are still making and how do you know that some mod that was made today wouldn't have more endorsement after 1 month, then some mod that is here for years? And I didn't told him which mods to use, I just showed him which is my favorites, but I agree that some mod that causes me trouble, wouldn't cause to someone else...but again, why not to show him which mods are good as the ones that have the most endorsements? Because attitudes like yours I stopped making mods for the third time...
  13. Well, I wouldn't go on mods like that because it's a bit older game. For an example lighting mod Enhanced Lights and FX have 13k endorsments but it's older and I have issues with fps with it, on other side Stalker Lights Sweet Fx and ENB have 4k endorsments + Enb and I don't have fps issues with it.
  14. I think that you should keep them with you...some of that items is needed for some other related quest. So if you absolutely sure that it is a bug then delete them, but if not keep them just in case.
