  1. I commented on your post. You made a VERY good point. Glad you said it cause I forgot that there was indeed a primer already in the game. Further proof of Bethesda's preplanning.
  2. Sadly, it turns out pineapple is not actually an apple made from pine...

  5. Hey guys! Not sure if there is already a forum about this (I looked) but I didn't want to read 246 pages. When I press New Game, Skyrim loads into a cave zone with immediate character creation. After creating the character, a message appears explaining the opening sequence. You are then asked to go with Ralof or Hadvar. Then, you are teleported to the imperial starting room or the stormcloak starting room. The room is partial, and Hadvar and Ralof look in complete. There are no lights either. Opening any of the doors leads to a blank zone that you continuously fall through. I've tried coc'ing to a few places (Whiterun and Riverwood) and both times the game froze and crashed, though with Whiterun I was teleported to a little river looking up at a mountain. To me it seems like some kind of beta, incomplete, or demo version is loaded, and I'm not sure why. I've reinstalled Skyrim once after having trouble with saves, and I also deleted the files in the Skyrim folder (which were recovered). My old saves still don't load, so I was going to try and reinstall it again. If anyone has a fix for the old save or new games problem, I would appreciate a response. Thanks! Rifli P.S. I do not have any mods (at least as far as I know) that change or conflict with the opening sequence. http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197970429960/screenshot/487751546886500042 http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197970429960/screenshot/487751546886482853 http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197970429960/screenshot/487751546886486675 http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197970429960/screenshot/487751546886495646
  6. I just started having this problem too, except it seems mine is worse. I could start the game just fine, and load my most recent saves (though my previous character would not load). I went to load a very old, unmodded save, yet that crashed it too. Next even my new saves wouldn't open, and the new game button just stuck the game on the title screen. I deleted a couple of mods, and was able to load my newest save again, but my bow wouldn't fire arrows (even though they were equipped, I was pulling the bow back, etc.) This happened twice and quickly crashed my game both times and now it won't let me load again. I uninstalled it, and I'm trying to reinstall it with the new beta patch. Hopefully this will fix my problem, though my hopes aren't very high. I'll check back once I've tried it out. Rifli Edit: Installed and loaded up Skyrim, but no change, though load order and performance are better. Modded saves still won't load, and I haven't tried loading an unmodded save yet, though I doubt it will work as it didn't before.
  7. Hey guys, After converting some of the Mystic Elven Armor HD (http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5600) retextures into standalone armor and weapons, I loaded up the game and discovered the standalone armor was using vanilla textures instead of the new Mystic Elven textures. I renamed the textures to match the meshes, making sure they didn't replace the vanilla textures. The weapons used the correct textures, and I converted the .nif files of the armor to use the new textures as well, but the armor doen't use them. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! P.S. Sorry if there is already an answer to this, I didn't want to go digging through 61 pages of forum. P.P.S. Using SkyEdit and Nifskope.
