  1. Wow. Such an interesting read! Thanks for sharing.
  2. Phew! Was quite a read, but nothing about it failed to impress. <3 Thank you!
  3. Thank you. I will admit I was a little frustrated that it seemed like as soon as I upgraded downloads stopped working LOL. Thanks again for your hard work and looking forward to a fix!
  4. Thank you! I think that will work perfectly. I'm excited to try it.
  5. Hi! Thanks in advance to anyone who attempts to help, I'm NOT a scripter but thanks to awesome tutorials I've been able to make a simple courier quest yay me! The problem is, the point of the quest is to make the quest giver a follower as the end result - as it stands right now, she can become a follower before/during/after the quest. I have a few ideas of how to implement this, but was wondering if anyone had some advice on the best way to go about it. Currently the quest involves retrieving an item, so maybe when the player returns with the item, upon transfer to the NPC, she's added to the current follower faction?
  6. Hiii! Since I updated I can't even get the application to open :/ I double click and it immediately crashes and gives the "NMM his stopped working" message, here's what was written in the details if that helps anyone: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: NexusClient.exe Application Version: 0.30.2.0 Application Timestamp: 507c8c22 Fault Module Name: KERNELBASE.dll Fault Module Version: 6.1.7601.17932 Fault Module Timestamp: 503285c2 Exception Code: e0434f4d Exception Offset: 000000000000caed OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Hope to get it working soon! Thanks to eveyone who works on the mod manager, I can't live without it!
  7. The same degree of difficulty as putting together one with the penis running the show. But the penis inspires the most productivity in this case, apparently.
  8. Hey Tarm! Hope you're still watching this, because I had the exact same problem... and ended up just ripping apart SGFollowers, Girls of Skyrim and a few other mods to work out how to accomplish creating an NPC with custom body meshs and textures. If you've managed to change everything else, then you're really close. Your custom follower just needs the UNP body and compatible body/face textures. Download them manually from the UNP mod page and extract them somewhere convenient. Now, assuming you haven't changed any names or paths in the creation kit for it to reference, then you should find the files you need to replace under Data/meshs/actor/character/Mischabody just copy the nif files which should already be named correctly from the UNP meshes/actor/character/character assets/ The same goes for the textures, only this time they're located in Data/textures/actor/character/MishaBody The UNP mod should have 8 dds files to replace the hands and body, and I suggest using Coverwomen or another compatible face texture to replace the 4 that are there (I don't remember what Mischa's head texture was, if it was pretty face there might be a neck seam) That should change your new NPC to the UNP body :D it's 1am and I probably left something out, so let me know if that doesn't work for you!
  9. This is most likely irrelevant, because your problem sounds like something to do with the structure of your quest - BUT if you get bored and feel like trying random things - when I had made a female follower, I couldn't get her to talk to me, despite having selected a voice that was 'follower-friendly.' I changed it to a different voice re-installed, and it worked. I haven't tried going back to the old one to see if that fixed it only because I liked the new voice better, but you could try!
  10. I've made an NPC Nord Female using the creation kit, and set her scale to .9, to make her a little smaller than most other nords. I sat her in Haelga's Bunkhouse in Riften and unfortunately when she's sandboxing there, and leans against the wall, she grows to full size, shrinking again when she gets up to walk! It's adorable but unfortunately immersion-breaking and I'd like for her to stay short, as I had intended that to be part of her quest. This NPC does have a custom body mesh/texture set applied, by setting her 'skin' in the creation kit to an 'armor set' that has the models for her body, much like SGFollowers or Girls of Skyrim - so she can have my custom skin and the UNP body without having to apply it to all NPC's. Maybe this is the problem? If anyone has run into this before, please let me know what I can do to fix it! Maybe there's some way to get her to use the animations from a shorter race? Thank you so so so so SO much in advance for seriously any help at all. This is really the only problem with my mod so far, so I'm just dying to get it solved and released. If anyone would like a 7z of it to take a look at, I'd be more than happy to provide one.
  11. Hey guys! I finally figured out how to get additional books in the game and am so addicted to writing my own books! The problem is I'm not much of an author, so if you guys have any stories relating to TES (even maybe a backstory of your old oblivion or morrowind character!) I'd love to include it in a new books expansion mod, you'll of course get credit & links and all that jazz ;D Also, I have a save game mod I'm working on that allows you to load a player in Riverwood, and you'll have a Journal. For now I'm just making up back-stories for various types of players, so if you have a request or a backstory you'd like to see let me know! My ultimate goal for the above mod is to develop some sort of program that allows an easier way to edit the journal's content than opening it in TESsnip. I'm NOT a software developer, by any means, but damnit that idea makes me want to learn! I have even made new journal textures in Photoshop that are to die for but have no idea how to add them in as new journals instead of replacing the existing ones D: if anyone can help or has any suggestions please PM me or reply to this thread! Thanks soooo much.
  12. That would be awesome! Let me know if you do, I'll try to help if I can!
  13. Hey everyone, thanks for reading! I'm working on a crafting mod, that's really sort've silly but something I wanted to do. I'm making all the non-magical, non-armor clothing in the game craft-able. There's no real advantage to this gameplay wise I just think it's neat to be a "Tailor" if you want :P Anyway, so I've worked out all my recipes, and in order to try to get as close to realistic as I can without adding wool/sheep, I'm going to allow the ability to make dyes at the cooking spit. I've managed to get to the point where the dyes can be made in-game (I plan on adding a million more, just wanted to start with these until I figure out my retexturing issue), and they use the standard skooma bottle and texture. I have 2 questions that should help me get through the next few steps in my mod: 1: I am able to extract the .dds texture and open it in photoshop to edit, so creating the dye bottle textures won't be a problem. However, I'm having trouble trying to open the .nif for the skooma bottle in nifskope, and to be perfectly honest, I'm not really sure how to apply the new texture to the bottle once it's in nifskope. Once I get the new texture on there, then do I just rename the mesh to something different (dyebottleblue.nif, for example) and then name the texture + normal map the same way? Where do I put these files in order of the plugin to load them? Obviously i need to reference the .nif in the record for the dyes (They're MISC, not potions) 2: I understand the data for weight is in the DATA subrecord, right? I'm wondering if anyone knows which "byte" I'd need to change as I don't think the dyes need to weigh more than .3. Also, I'm really not sure how to change the value, and I'd like to, because although I don't want the mod to make tailoring even remotely profitable (except for maybe when you level up and can make things like wedding clothes and emporers clothes) I"d still like to assign the dye value of at least 2 or 3 so that you wouldn't feel bad about unloading them if you made extra. Once I get these issues worked out I'll be able to move on to the tanning rack to add cotton fabric, yarn, and a bunch of other stuff I have ideas for. For now I'm limited to just retexturing existing meshs, but I still think that I can get something respectable out before the CK. Anyway, attaching the plugin as a reference. Thanks in advance for ANY help you can offer. <3 File is here: http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2943
