  1. Some people seemed to like my Diamond Sword mod and others asked for a pack...so I started working on one! Here's what will come in my upcoming Minecraft Pack; Sword, Pickaxe, Axe, Hoe, Shovel [Each of them will be available in each material (Diamond, Gold, Iron, Stone, Wood) Torch, Bow, and Arrows. And the Golden Apple! Cause I like apples :P I was thinking about doing the enchantment table for fun but I have no skill in animation for the spinning book and words coming out. Here are some pictures of the torch that's finished, and I just finished modeling the pickaxe. http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a65/alansaloserx200/Capture2-2.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a65/alansaloserx200/pick.jpg
  2. I would start designing your own mods! Simple ones. That's how I started. I really wanted the Ultima Weapon from FF7 modeled, and another sword from FFXI and I ended up tackling the models myself. I went through a lot of frustration and quitting out of the program, but it is fun once your product starts to come to life. Just find some small simple things to make and try it out! Doesn't have to be perfect, just need to keep practicing!
  3. I haven't lost too much FPS using Superl3's ENB mod, well with everything enabled (slow) I lost quite a bit. I would get a fast version of the ENB mod, should be labeled in most downloads, also tweak your Skyrim and play around with it. Took me awhile before I was happy with my settings + ENB and still having good frames.
  4. Hey all, Just got into this 3D modeling stuff. I followed a long with Ghosu's tutorial on YouTube (excellent tutorial by the way) and just had to play around with it to get my own shapes. It's a sword from Final Fantasy XI, a relic weapon called the Excalibur. Ignore the horrible low resolution textures. I will re-make them within time but I'm really happy I got my first 3D model to work and function in game. Model needs to be tweaked. http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a65/alansaloserx200/finished-1.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a65/alansaloserx200/excal1.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a65/alansaloserx200/1280x720.jpg I also have the Ultima Weapon from FF7. Took me awhile to figure out how to get the blade translucent and make it glow like it does in the original game. But I got it and I'm perfectly happy with it. :) http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a65/alansaloserx200/ult1.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a65/alansaloserx200/ult2.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a65/alansaloserx200/ult3.jpg As you can see, I like the weapons from Final Fantasy  Some of my future projects will include: Lionheart from FF8 Caladbolg from FFX and some other misc swords. Gonna stick to simple stuff for now. Let me know what you think! Hopefully I'll be able to make some small mods for you guys to enjoy.
  5. Hey all, I'm a newb to modding and basically I took the vanilla Daedric Armor and made new textures for it, changed the glow, etc. There's one problem slight problem, the weapons and sword still have a red sheen to them when they shine in the sun. How would I change that? Is that incorporated as a specular color value in the mesh or? I'm not sure what I'm supposed to change to get rid of that reddish tint.
  6. Hey all, I'm new to this whole modding scene and would like to know how to change the red daedric glow color? I know it's within the NIF files (or is it?) and I've opened up the mesh but I can't figure out what to change to or do. If anyone could shed some light on this, it'd be greatly appreciated
