  1. Sorry for late reply, internet has been shut off for a week :(. TESonline is being outsourced. I heard that was true at least. I can do models, textures, and animations, though, not converting and importing, I can whip out things pretty quick. I'd choose a simple art style too. Not realistic. Maybe TF2 like. Solid colors. That'd be quick and easy. Modeling is the easy part. Texturing isn't to bad. Converting and using the creation kit is where I fall short. I wasn't thinking anything massive. I would need a team though. 3 people including myself? I'd like to remain the only modeler though, I'm picky about that stuff. I think I'd go with the interior world space then and the alt start. Maybe it could turn into something like Day-Z. I've never actually played day-z. But maybe that without the guns, seems complicated, but, maybe it's as simple as adding an animation? Not sure.
  2. I wanting to create a small, modern day city, or world, with the Skyrim creation kit. It would be completely associated with Skyrim. It would just be using it's engine. Would I just open up the creation kit and start fresh? What would starting fresh turn the game into? Would I have to rebuild all the menus? Or will the basics still be there, and I'd just need to add a world space, armor, items and things, like how we already mod Skyrim..? I'm assuming quests would be gone as well? Maybe I'd be better off just adding a new world space to Skyrim? I'm just interested in a "small" project, of creating something with the Skyrim creation kit. I know the basics of the creation kit and I know how to create models and textures (not conversions though.) Would anyone be interested in a project just to get this "working"? Working, as in, a blank canvas ready for things to be added. I'm not interested in anything ridiculously complex. A simple world to walk around in would be perfectly fine. Maybe it could serve as a base for other modders who prefer to create something more modern or detached from Skyrim's lore occasionally?
  3. start simpler... but step one would be: 1.) Download the Creation Kit.
  4. Birds are the one thing that I think is missing in Skyrim. There are of course those vulture things above Solitude, but not real birds. How awesome would it be to run through a flock of pidgins in Whiterun!? Or suddenly see a flock birds take off in a field that you didn't even know birds were in because of the grass. Or to look up in Solitude to see a line of birds perched and fluttering around on the top of the building? I just feel like this would add a huge layer of immersion to the game and would be a great addition. Would anyone be willing to work with me on this? I was thinking super low poly models with low res textures. They're just birds after all, and only seen at a distance most of the time. I can model, texture, and animate all the movements: pecking, flying, taking off, landing, etc.. I was thinking maybe 10-20 different bird types? maybe 3 models with 5 different textures per model? Just thinking.. I'd need someone who can convert models to .nif and knows how to work the creation kit and probably scripting, most likely. I'm just an artist...
  5. Can a Mod or Admin Delete this? Thanks.
  6. i had the exact same problem, my error message is identical. i checked integrity and it made me download 3 gigs of "updates". i did that, still had the problem.. i googled for some general fixes but nothing worked. i recently updated my ati drivers, but played fine immediately afterwards. i suppose i'll try again. i'll update you if it works, or doesn't work. edit: re-installed latest graphic drivers didn't work.. i guess i'll try to re-install directx, i saw someone online suggest it. i guess it's can't hurt. i'll be back. edit: nope. nothing. same problem. hopefully someone finds and answer. i'd like to play. edit: okay, got it. un-install the application profiles tool. disappointing. i liked it.
