  1. I created a custom texture to replace the normally red Mythic Dawn gloves. Pulled the file out with Gimp, edited in Photoshop, back to Gimp to make it a .dds file again and copied it to Data/textures/clothes/robemythicdawn. However, whenever I jump in game, it still shows up as the vanilla texture. Even when I preview it in the CK, or in NifSkope, the texture shows up as how I've created it. I've tried disabling ALL mods (aside from the HD pack from Bethesda) thinking it may have been something else, but it still won't work. I've also tried the Black Thief Gloves provided here and those don't work either. I also have this issue with the Dragonscale chestpiece. For some reason, the game will recognize changes done to every other piece except the BP. Anyone have any ideas?
  2. I have no idea, but I know what you mean. Wearing any of the robes {Adept, Master, Apprentice) and wearing the white boots with the furry rim, it clips through the leggings on the robe. If what Jet says is true, the models are tied to a dismember point. At least, that's what I'm trying to wrap my head around. This is what the Psiijic Gloves looks like normally, it clips through the robes sleeves. I just wanted a way to remove the upper portion of the gloves that did this, but from what I'm finding out now, is that the gloves essentially "replace" a body part, thus creating a new dismember frame? So if someone cut off my hand, it'll cut off near the elbow instead of near the wrist? If that's the case, this is a bigger undertaking then I originally thought!
  3. Howdy folks, new to the whole idea of modding, been reading up on things (it's a LOT to take in at once) and I've been playing around with some textures/meshes. I edited the image file using GIMP, and I used NifSkope to edit the gloves .nif file. The item shows up on the ground and in my inventory missing the entire leather bracer portion, which is what I want, but when it gets equipped it either acts like I never edited the .dds file, or it's being covered by the robes layer. Here's some screenshots to hopefully better explain what I'm trying to say. In this one, it's hiding the metal handguard, but I wanted that to show up OVER the robes sleeves, like it normally would, but without the leather bracer clipping the sleeves. And here they are, completely unchanged, though I swear I changed the image file. Am I not doing something right with the .dds file in GIMP? I know enough to make myself dangerous, but I'm nowhere near being a pro at any of this. Most of my previous experience came from playing around in Photoshop years ago. Any clarifications or direction would be appreciated.
