  1. You can find pretty much everything you need within these tutorials. Especially Part 7 covers all steps you need to make for getting a model "game ready". The videos use normal armors as example, but it doesn't really matter. The same technique applies to creatures as well. You only need to adjust the body part setting accordingly.
  2. Yes, the script is from Skyrim Immersive Creatures. It's a sub script of one of the night events. In your case the event triggered, but you didn't get close enough to the event actors to trigger their transformation. You moved away from the spawns and the quest shut down. During this somehow the sub script didn't unregistered as well. No clue why, maybe because of the other stack errors you got and Papyrus didn't perform as fast as it should. However, I already altered the script for v7 to prevent such things. Download the new script and paste it into your Data folder. Your Papyrus log should now contain no spam and print instead this: [Date - CurrentTime] [SIC_WEN08Script <SIC_WEN08 (18514063)>]OnUpdate() [Date - CurrentTime] [SIC_WEN08Script <SIC_WEN08 (18514063)>]Unloaded
  3. Nonsense. NPCs are affected by perks. You just can't add them on runtime via script. This function does indeed only work on the player record. You need to alter the NPC record directly via CK. This kind of alteration only takes effect on newly spawned actors. So for persistent actors you need to start a new game.
  4. The textures are pretty much the same quality than the vanilla ones without HD pack. Only the ones I have created from scratch, like the wolf / dog / horse armors, are in 2k resolution. Vulcan can try to use Optimizer Textures to resize all textures from his mods to 1024 or 512. But this doesn't touch the complexity of some meshes. They can be quite taxing. Some tips to reduce the system impact of SIC: use as few creature excluders as possible (Dwarven Dragon, Hybrid and Draman Skeleton excluders are fine because the spawn points are deactivated directly all other excluders work on runtime and exchange actors while loading them)deactivate the Dwarven Dragon (most complex model in SIC with full visibility in LOD)lower the chances of special features or deactivate them (additional spawns, night spawns, skeleton resurrection)deactivate faction patrol and goblin war events (most actor intensive events) / maybe even night eventsdeactivate the random cell respawner (features isn't that taxing anymore compared to v6.1.3)I know this sounds like an extremely cut down version of SIC. But with your system specs you simply have to do so. If it works, you can do some further testing with re-enabling some features again.
  5. Did you forget to install the water textures? The water on the right side of your image looks too calm.
  6. I wouldn't say that. It can be a possible cause for CTDs or weird stuff going on, depending on the referenced content. But you can reorder them quite safe via TES5Edit. Just do error check after sorting. If something pops up, try to solve it yourself or let the author know about it. It may also be a good idea to tell him that he should change the file date of the official esms according the game load order. The CK still uses the timestamp based sorting like previous games. BOSS v3 offers an option for modders to sync the current load order with the file dates.
  7. Well......I've tried that numerous times and no matter how many times I change the date timestamps of the files to match the order I want them to be in under the data window in the CK they don't move. <sigh> But it works. The same time stamp based system all previous games and Skyrim in early versions (1.0-1.2) used. You can use BOSS v3 to sync the the CK loadorder with your real game loadorder. Just open it up, go to files and click on "Redate Plugins".
  8. No, is not possible. Actor level lists aren't that controllable as item lists. You can't set a none chance and also can't set an actor count. If you encounter groups of enemies within the vanilla game each actor of this group is placed into the world or separately spawned via script.
  9. The main problem is the way plugins are sorted. The CK still uses the old timestamp method and not the new method the game uses. To avoid fiddling with Tes5Edit every time you edit your mod, you can change the dates of your master files according to their normal loadorder.
  10. These aren't texture issues. Stretched vertices form the headphone cable caused by the poses or general dirty skinning of the model.
  11. In response to post #10439537. #10444500, #10445781 are all replies on the same post. If there is reason for a ban, like discriminating a user because of his / her sexual orientation (example of the post I replied to), the user must have placed a comment on some mod page of the author to be a target of the moderation tool. In this case the moderators can search & find the deleted comment and use it as evidence to ban the author. Banning a user for no or other personal reasons that aren't against the site terms is a totally different pair of shoes. I can totally understand why Dark0ne or the staff member don't want to get involved in this. The system was implemented to result in less work for them and not more. If the news post would contain a free ticket for every user who got punished by an author, they would make excessive use of it. Will some contact them anyway? Yes. Will they be ignored by the moderators? Judging by my personal experience, I would say no. But what all of the naysayer in this thread forget is the fact that nobody has the right to use a mod. It's a free gift given by someone who spent a lot of time in creating the mod. But the attitude to be grateful for a mod washed out since the release of Skyrim. The game pulled a lot of users into modding / mod using and it sadly attracted a lot of internet morons with it. The same not needed kind of people who clutter for example YouTube videos with their brain farts. The mod author makes the rules for his mod. He doesn't take requests? Accept it. He doesn't tolerate comments asking questions already answered several times and deletes the comment? Accept it. He offers even a ban for asking such questions? Deal with it. If an author put up this kind of "rules" for commenting his / her mods, what's so difficult about to accept this? It's the same with not commenting on manga mods if you dislike them. In fact you even get banned for doing so. Giving support for a file isn't something everyone is willing to do. You should understand that, as you are a person that doesn't want to spent time to repack a mod to get it working with NMM. Really funny if I think about the time you spent in the mod thread and here in this thread posting your comments. That's really efficient game playing. Your main concern of mod authors who evolutionate into ban junkies will be sorted out by itself. Every community is very fast in distributing information. This kind of (not needed as well) authors will get a well earned reputation and the people will stop using their mods. That's why a three months trial was implemented. Such a system works on other sites and will work here as well. Compare it to the free upload here. Every now and then shows someone up who uploads malware in form of fake mods to the site. It's a similar hole as the one you mentioned all the time. But the system with users detecting the false mods fast works and I don't see a new "Malware on the Nexus" thread every day. You simply put the matter out of proportion.
  12. In response to post #10439537. Did you actually read the entire news post and comprehend its content? I guess not. Your main argument is based on the false fact that mod authors can do whatever they want to do with user posts without the fear of consequences. Let's compare two of your passages with the news post: -- or -- Dark0ne: What happens to abusive authors? They get punished in according to the site terms. In your example the author will for sure earn a permanent ban from the site for insulting and discriminating behaviour.
  13. In response to post #10309855. #10309960 is also a reply to the same post. No not really, You are just to small-minded and hardened on your opinion to accept other arguments and the trial of this feature. In fact you are posting over and over again the same stuff with small variations. You ascribe "mean and vindictive" bearings to every mod author who use / will use the new tools. But you simply forget that a user caused this consequence by his / her own misbehaviour. An author who put a lot of time and love into his mods and is kind enough to share it, doesn't need to take ass kicks in form of rude and insulting comments. So is preventing a user from downloading a file some kind of retribution? Maybe. But the Elder Scrolls and Fallout community did always respect the authors and their work. Independent of the legal term the mods are seen as THEIR creations. The German community on Sharesoft composed a "Modder Kodex" to ensure a fair togetherness. If a user shows misbehaviour in form of (previously mentioned) rude or insulting comments, why should I as author let him use my mod? Totally uninteresting how you call it. I'm fine with retribution, but you can see it also as protection for the user. The user was so offended by the mod which forced him to write such feedback, so he earned protection from the mod. Doesn't want him / her to get a heart attack.

Haha, I laughed so hard. Modders always were able to choose the place where to host their mods. There are other community sites to use. And the choice to use an own private site is / was and will always be there. A lot of modders vanished from the big sites in the past because of users becoming rude. Just ask Slof, she has quite an experience with personal attacks because of her work. Nothing about sorting out users is illegal. You can't compare the new system to a face control before accessing a mod page or downloading a mod. If you want a pictorial comparison you can compare the system to a disco visit. Start throwing bottles around and you will be kicked out. Nothing illegal about it.
  15. In response to post #10301101. #10301283, #10301505 are all replies on the same post. If the users report your file before you can ban them from the page or if they just report the file without commenting, you have no chance to distribute your malware. It gets taken down quite fast and you are shown the door permanently.
