Just hopeless and waste of time

Who does not understand here has been obvious since the beginning of the discussion. You can argue your point of view further as much as you want, it will not change the facts. As soon as a mod author has uploaded his work, he can no longer decide how his work is used by Nexus. He cannot even determine which version of his mod is used by collections. So in theory he has kept his rights, but he cannot apply them in any way. That's the reality. No more and no less. Take us all a favor and keep your wisdom in the future for you. Most of your explanations are simply worthless.

creativty, motivation, environment relevant for future modding ?

I'm confused about this comment: 1 - I'm a Premium. I don't see annoying banners and ads. 2 - What in the world does uBlock, or the whole comment you made, have to to with the topic? I suspect if you actually saw the ad, it might make more sense, but, don't know for sure, I don't see ads either. :D I assumed it was is response to the bit about the contest (post a mod maybe win loot). Which would be weird since it would be a local ad. But I don't see ads either, so that's just a guess. I am also a premium user. I was presented with this huge competition banner. Since I felt it intrusive, I blocked it -
They kept referring to their announcement which shows that they are not interested in any dialogue. Arguments of any kind are irrelevant to them. From my point of view, this is not a dialogue. It's called ignorance. To get back to the subject. As we now know, you support the cathedral way of modding. Completly fine. Get some folks and do it. But don't force others joining. Everyone is free to make their own decision. Even if iyou can't agree, you must accept it.
-
Your argument is only relevant if you want to make a decision as a new user. But not if you have been a member of this community for years and rejecting their new alignment. In this case one would expect that a dialogue is possible and is not suppressed in dictatorial manner.

From my point of view, the biggest mistake in Wyre's assay is that he assumes everyone must participate for the benefit of all. But before I start thinking about building a cathedral with some folks around, someone should ask if I want to participate. If I can't make a free decision based on this simple question, I will never join the team or community which drives the construction of the cathedral. Just because someone expects something of me, it don't necessarily mean that I will do it too.

Imo this is a project designed and created by a organized group of modders and not a typical cathedral.

I don't want to rob you of your illusions, but I really don't care for your thoughts and comments. They offer nothing in terms of content that could appeal to me in any way

Oh, it seems like your fatigue has worn off again. So we can continue to go around in circles

Wow, another populist. It must obviously has escaped your notice that quite a few mod authors are against the collections themselves. What most mod authors are condemning is how NM ethically, morally, and technically handles their implementation. So don't spread misinformation here
-
Kind of funny when the guy who makes the topic go around in circles gets tired of it himself.
-
You won't find any mods at wayback machine. They archive web pages but don*t host files
-
Why are you trying to educate each other? After 115 pages it should be clear that some have obviously not enjoyed an adequate upbringing by their parents and thus any attempt by outsiders to change this can only fail. But more importantly, this does not contribute anything meaningful to the topic. So please get back on topic
-
If you are biased and can only see one possible technical solution, then your reasoning is understandable. But since it is only one possibility out of many, it is just another meaningless comment. As someone noted earlier, the difference is merely that Nexus doesn't want any other solution. It is not a matter of other solutions not being possible. Everything beyond that is pure populism and propaganda without any technical basis
-
I find it very impressive that after 113 pages in the thread you still haven't understood that technically there isn't a single logically understandable reason why you shouldn't be able to delete mods for the implementation of the Collection System. If anything this is a corporate policy decision, but certainly not something that needs to be implemented for the greater good of all.
