Seriously, someone should look into fixing this. We've got flying rings, flying airships, and of course, DRAGON TRANSFORMS!, we are traveling faster than Bethesda intended. Anything that can be done to prevent, or maybe just ignore (but not CTD) the issue that causes this?

Call me a console noob, but I actually kinda like the existing menu and hud system. I tried SkyUI and while its nice, its not my style. BUT there is one thing I cannot stand that gets me killed a lot. The mirrored vanilla health bar. Instead of stretching from one side to the next, it goes from each side to the middle and makes you think you have more hp than you do. Messes with my judgement to pull out my healing spell or just kill the fool in front of me. Has anyone fixed this? I know SkyUI does, but, as I said, not my style. Any other, preferably minimalist, mods that do this? I have looked but have yet to find one so far. Any that do not require some script plugin? I have SKSE, but I'd rather not get in involved and risk screwing up the game any more. After I stopped using SkyUI, I don't use it, but I do have it.
