  1. I played RAGE , not a really good game imo, but one of the weapons in that game caught my attention: the crossbow. It looked really cool, and i decided to make something for skyrim that looked remotely similar to that. I decided to splice two meshes (the falmer staff and the normal crossbow) together through 3ds max, I seemed to have imported/exported correctly, the model was edited quite correctly, e.t.c. HOWEVER: Once ingame it got kinda glitched out. Okay, so looking at this, compared to when the model was in NifSkope, here are my problems: 1. The front 'claw' part of the crossbow is missing 2. The crossbow is on the floor (even when equipped) Now, would any experienced modder kindly (or unkindly, if that's the easiest way for you to get something accross) explain to me what is happening, and if anyone has had this problem before, tell me how you fixed it?

  3. I never did anything with voicing or npc dialogue, but once you're done recording there's probably something in the CK where you can add sounds to a voice, in your case, FemaleSultry.
  4. If skyrim does not have any sound files for a type of voice, you have one of two options: 1. Copy-Paste the sound files of a voice that sounds similar (I have no idea how to do this) 2. Record the dialogue yourself
  5. Exactly my problem too. I know what's wrong with placing an existing npc inside a house, because they have AI packages that only let them be in the cells they're designated with the packages. However, any custom npcs I make just don't appear whatsoever, even when spawned in with the console. I know the problem is with the AI packages, but that's as far as my knowledge goes. Someone please help!
  6. I finally managed to import a model into nifskope without errors and while the model is still intact. but now I have another problem. When a model is imported into nifskope, the texture and uv stuff gets messed up, partly. Bits of the armor textures are still in the right place, but the rest of the texture is totally distorted and thrown all over the mesh. (look at the red squares) The textures and stuff look totally fine while in blender, but once opened up in nifskope, it all screws up. here's the uv map of the model, if it helps at all. Anyone know what's wrong and/or has/had this problem and knows how to fix it? If so, I implore you to reply. Even a four word "you're doing it wrong" can suffice.
  7. I'm still very inexperienced in skyrim modding, and I am again having troubles with things that are probably quite simple to fix. So I made a merchant npc based on this tutorial I also made a small room and placed the npc in the room. http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/4788/40152916.png However, when entering said room, the npc is nowhere to be found. A few re-enters makes the npc come back, but when exiting and re-entering makes the npc simply disappear again. I decided to ask a friend I had on steam, who coincidentally also uses the creation kit, about this odd bug. He said that he had this problem as well, and told me to look online for a fix. I could not find anyone other than the two of us that had a problem, so I decided to turn to the forums. So that being said, anyone have/had this problem and has a fix for it? If so, please please PLEASE reply.
  8. I Recently completed my first standalone armor retexture, and now I'm trying to remodel the armor to fit the cbbe body. However, remodeling is not quite as simple as changing two textures, and I'm having a slight problem. Before anyone asks, I blurred parts of the image to make focal points for one to look at what I'm doing So first I load up my .nif file into Nifskope and export it as a .obj for use in blender. http://img840.imageshack.us/img840/7349/63974717.png Please take note that I have the NiTriShapeData block selected, so it will only export the mesh. Then, I import the .obj into blender for some edits http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/194/93144742.png I did not do anything to the material, uv map, or anything that isn't the mesh. http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/5989/99820706.png I moved a few vertices around, rotated a few pieces of the armor and deleted a few parts of it. No changes to any UV mapping or textures, just touched the vertices a little After completing my edits, I proceed to export the .obj http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/4562/30721639.png And then back to Nifskope, I import the edited .obj model please note that when importing, NifSkope does not allow importing into the NiTriShapeData block, so I was forced to import the mesh into the parent block. http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/5172/64753088.png When suddenly http://img845.imageshack.us/img845/2452/58699933.png Error! Also, after importing, the imported mesh looks nothing like what was in blender. http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/5788/32220469.png Now that you saw my whole procedure, can someone please shed some light on what went wrong in my remodel?
