  1. Does anyone know how to create working custom ImpactData for new and existing spells? Specifically, I'd like to know how to apply the impact decals from Flames, Frostbite, Sparks, etc that you normally see applied to objects and the ground, to actors such as NPCs (their skin and worn items). Any help is appreciated.
  2. Event OnHit is used in the script dunWhiteRiverWatchOpenOnHit; definitely deliberate. The problem with this Event is that anything that hits it will open the cage door, even magelight. Now if I could figure out how to change akProjectile into something else that would compile...
  3. Oh. My. God. It works! *starts Creation Kit*
  4. Look up the Lock Breaker mod, and the various Unlocking Spells in mods available for alternatives to lockpicking. The way it is now unlocking is done in a most convoluted way; I really don't know why more direct targeting of objects was removed in favor of actors. At least it works. And with the destructible states available as an option we may well see that put to use as an additional alternative with the drawback of destroying items in the container. Iceflame89 is working on that with his Lock Breaker mod. I've taken a look at his work trying to figure out for myself if there's a better way that doesn't involve altering all those containers (for compatibility). There's still a lot left to figure out how to do, like determining the source of damage for an OnHit event and using that information to tie it to a skill, plus there's the problem of just how to remove items from the container with some kind of chance based script (without removing quest items of course). It would be nice to have some decent documentation on how to get the value stored in akSource, the wiki is less than helpful. What does the abbreviation SE stand for?
  5. Fantastic. Changing that one dds file's hue does exactly what I wanted. Now I just have to change the name and alter any references in the nif files. Thanks so much!
  6. How would I change the following files from their original green color to something more turquoise blue? Casting Art: AlterPosFXHand01.nif Art File: AlterPosImpact01.nif Do I need to use Nifskope or Blender or something else? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
