Thanks for answering. Yes I've verified on Steam and it's not a texture file missing -- I've checked that. I have an ATI card and have the newest catalyst drivers. I'm pretty sure it's the aforementioned "low memory issue" I've been reading about. Only problem is, that was supposedly fixed in a patch months ago.

OK, so after further playing (and both verifying integrity and re-installing) it seems that as mentioned, female ebony armor and also female vampires' hair have the purple texture bug. With everything else being fine. I read that these 'random' texture glitches might be due to low memory, but disabling all mods and turning graphics down to low doesn't help. Mind you, it hasn't been like this all the time, and only started appearing with the last couple of updates -- be it either the game's patches or my gfx drivers (ATI). Any insight will be appreciated.

I don't play with a female character, but have noticed the female mercenaries wandering around Skyrim wearing ebony armor were missing the texture on said armor. The males look fine btw. I must say I have no idea what's going on here. I tried disabling all my mods and switch my character to female with ebony armor via the console to verify and got this: The gauntlets and boots look fine but her hair seems to be missing texture as well... Does anyone know what could be the cause of this odd behavior?
