  1. As near and far a guess as I can make as to why the Nexus login server can't be reached would be because of server overload, aka, everyone and their mother (or a large number of people) are attempting to use the server at the precise same time. Again, however, this could only be one possibility among maybe a great many, or a small few, who knows. Barring having the most up to date version of the NMM, I'd wager that all that can be done is wait a while (as the error message would imply) before re-connectivity is possible for the server handlers.
  2. Just over a week ago, I came across the Sevenbase body replacer, and was instantly taken with it's form and how well it was made, down to the finest detail. With every process and step followed to install, along with additions to skin and normal maps for the appearance of abs, everything was in perfect position, but with one, very noticeable flaw sticking out like a coal stain on a white sheet (at least by way of my OCD when it kicks in.) This flaw I am referring to is the neck seam, which in my experience since playing Oblivion and Skyrim, has always been a sore point for me, considering I often play in 3rd person, and rarely 1st. At the moment, the only facial textures that I even remotely enjoy and prefer above many to all else is Bella Better Females (perhaps labeled wrong.) But unfortunately, the neck seam is made prevalent all the while when using two mods in unison: UNP Creamy (a definite must to my eyes), and again, Bella Better Females. For most of the human races (Nords, Bretons etc.), this is generally not a problem, using a certain necklace to hide the seam and call it done. It's when using other races, such as a Dunmer, that the two different skin types cause a color imbalance. (i.e., the head looks either darker or lighter than the body.) I've tried a particular solution, so to speak, through the use of SG Female Texture Renewal. It works well, up until the point where it radically disrupts the textures of both the body and head, the body looking as if it reverts to the default UNP skin when first installed, and the head...to me, making it unbearable. In this, I'm humbly asking if there is any possible way for this neck seam issue to be solved? If I've not already made mention, the body itself works perfectly. The only thing nagging me is the seam itself. Any positive feedback or help is greatly appreciated.

  4. Well, after several hours of tinkering ( and several bottles of tasty alcoholic beverage ) I have been successful in fully changing the sound to what I have craved in a pyromantic explosion. Still only the slightest hint of vanilla explosions amid the new sound, but...I suppose I can suffer that. My deepest gratitude goes to all you kind souls whom granted me a moment of their time. Danke!
  5. My thanks for the timely response. This, however, is where my lack of knowledge kicks in. Up to this point, I have not deeply used the CK, as in, at all. What I've done is acquired the sound file I want to replace the fireball explosion. I've extracted the actual Skyrim vanilla explosion name using FMM. At current time, the only thing I am falling short on accomplishing is actually changing the files from vanilla to the new file. My response may indeed seem redundant and the droll of an idiot, but this is about the basis of my ability. EDIT: I was able to (somehow) integrate the new explosion sound into the game. Now my only suffering is how to remove the vanilla sound completely.
  6. As the title of the topic would imply, I am interested in replacing the sound of the fireball's default explosion with the explosion sound of Quake 2, OR, that of a rocket blast from Doom. I have rather little experience with this sort of thing, considering I am but slowly learning of the Creation kit and manipulation of core files and such, and I am but humbly seeking advice on this matter. Many thanks.
  7. Perhaps not overtly the central focus for magicka in the Elder Scrolls series by using the term 'mana', but it is a name for an object. Idea thus far is, as said, mana cubes. Or magicka cubes. Or rune cubes, even, as the idea involves having a specific style or form of arcane, necrotic, demonic, celestial, or druidic rune sybolizing some form of magic that a magic user can tap into. Said cubes would come in a variety of sources, energy and magic types, similiar to the Ioun stones of the Forgotten Realms series, albeit more openly seen. The cubes would be small in size, perhaps no larger than the fist of a Nord, ranging in colors based upon the elemental affinity, say, Destruction cubes would be black with red or orange or gold markings, or white for Restoration with silvery or golden markings to symbolize healing. To add, up to 3 cubes could be used at a time, to amplify existing powers in use {reinforce magical defenses, raise elemtantal protections, regeneration of stamina/health/magicka, etc.} These cubes would also float in varied, circular patterns about the mage, spinning slowly while orbiting their user. Just another idea for mages.
  8. A simple question, perhaps seen as a request. Would it be possible to create this posted image as a mage weapon, whose primary function is, obviously, as a potent, flaming bird fireball-blasting staff for mages? Many thanks in advance!
  9. Rohen here once more. Only a small bit of questions. For the Khajiit, male specifically, is there some mod out there that removes those ugly fluffs of fur along their jawlines? Giving them an appearance either the same as or similar to those in Oblivion? Two completely different games and two completely different lands, I get that, but for merely asking a question on a possible removal of said fluffs, giving them a more refined, smoother, and less Lynx-like appearance. Much appreciated. And please, if in you feel the need to comment, please for Lord's sake, keep it civil.
  10. Hello all. I will try to keep this brief. Does anyone know how I may go about creating a staff with completely custom graphics and such? In resemblence to this, with a few additions.
  11. Ok, keepin' this short n' simple. I've noticed far too often that the females of Skyrim get practically all the robe mods, showin' off their lady goods and such. What I propose is, mayhap not an overhaul, but an addition to the robe selection of male mages, wizards, sorcerors, and all them other men throwin' spells around for a livin'. My idea was the robe worn by one of primary bosses from Heretic, the wizard D'sparil, in every precise detail. OR, the robe worn by the Heresiarch from Hexen, the black robe with gold and red cinching along the waist and edges of the sleeves and hood, with the symbol of the Serpent Riders. Maybe even go further, with other inclusions that are along the lines of practioners of the Arcane, perhaps, a system that uses a spell tome that contains all of the favored spells, cast from either the left or right hand respectively, while receiving a bonus to spell power and impact for the loss of an offhand spell. Perhaps more staff choices, with resemblances of the staffs used in Heretic, Hexen, Hexen 2. Again, merely some suggestions. And please, if in you feel the need to comment, keep it civil. Pictures are just some examples.
