  1. I tired different saves, putting the merchant in different locations and nothing worked. So I finally tried putting thme in an exterior cell and that worked. The merchant only works if they are in an exterior cell. They will not appear no matter what interior cell they are placed in. Why? Edit: I tired every trick in the book but nothing worked....then I must have been sturck by a a beam of the Mysterious Energy X or something cause all these fireworks went off in my head and I came up with a solution.
  2. Anyone know how to get a new merchant to appear in game? I've created merchaants in the past and it has always been rather easy to do but since upgrading to the Legendary Edition placing a merchant in the game no longer works. All tutorials on how to create a merchant are pretty much the same but none of them work. Is there a new step that has to be taken due to the new DLC?
  3. Same problem here but only on Skyrim Nexus. Can login to Fallout or XCOM etc. Was looking through mods when I clicked on goto next page and all of a sudden I was logged out but still logged in. Well instead of saying my account it just said "'s account" Which makes no sense to me. It always worked fine until today. So now to login I have to login to a different nexus site and then come back to Skyrim Nexus.
  4. You have a similar system to mine and are having similar problems. This is what I did to solve the problems I was having. Can't guarantee it will work for you but give it a shot. I tried so many things and through trial and error, testing and reading what others have done I created these steps to get it working. 1. Use the fnv4gb fix from Nexus Mods. Place the fnv4gb.exe and fnv4gb_helper.dll in: C:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout New Vegas Create a shortcut for fnv4gb.exe and place it on the desktop. Launch Fallout New Vegas with this shortcut but launch the game once through Steam first before using the fnv4gb.exe Shortcut. 2. Find C:\Games\Steam\Steamapps\common\fallout new vegas\Fallout_default.ini and edit using notepad. Change the following: iFPSClamp=0 and change it to: iFPSClamp=60 This is for a monitor with a refresh rate of 60hz. This fix works whether vsync is switched on or off. If for some reason you can't set your refresh rate on your monitor/lcd then change "iFPSClamp=" to whatever your refresh rate is. 3. Use the Nvidia D3D9 Perf Fix from Nexus Mods and place the d3d9.dll file in: C:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout New Vegas 4. Use MSI AfterBurner and in the MSI On Screen Display Server setup a profile for FalloutNV.exe and set the FPS limit to 60. Also make sure "Enable compatibility with modified Direct3D runtime libraries" is enabled. Hope it helps.
  5. Anyone know how to get rid of the stuttering bug? I have solved it one way by using iFPSClamp=60 and using MSI Afterburner and setting the FPS limiter to 60. If I do that it runs buttery smooth but it does not work with the 4GB Fallout New Vegas mod. If I use that mod to prevent crashing the iFPSClamp=60 and FPS limiter trick no longer work and the game stutters. I can't use the stutter remover or fake windowed mods because I am using Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition on Steam which is patched to v1.4 I think. Tried other mods and they will not work. If I was using v1.2 I think they would work but thatt is impossible because of Steam. Only one thing seems to work but....it won't work witht he 4GB mod and that is pretty much mandatory if you want to play FNV. Any ideas? Intel Core i7 950 @ 3.066GHz 6GB Triple Channel Kit Gigabyte GTX 670 2GB Windforce Edit: I tried it again with the 4GB mod and I think it is working now. I think it just dips in FPS the odd time which causes the game to slow down because of the iFPSClamp=60 trick. I have settings at ultra and everything maxed but if I change just a couple of settings I should be able to always keep it at 60 fps. Without the iFPSClamp set at 60 it didn't matter if I used Ultra or Low settings it was always stuttering. I think it might work now. Edit: Got it working! Had to also use Nvidia d3d9 perf fix because FNV doesn't seem to like DirectX 11? That with the 4GB fix and using iFPSClamp=60 with an FPS limiter has solved it and it is running nice and smooth now. :)
  6. I have the same problem and never had it happen before today. FPS is fine but it looks and feels like the character is being held back by a rubber band. It is not a over encumbered problem. Just the character is slower then it should be and gets really slow sometimes. Edit: I think it might be a xbox 360 controller problem. Hard to test or with only one controller and the problem only happening the very odd time now but I think that is the cause of it at least in my case.
  7. No but I am using a mod that changes the damage of destruction perks such as frost, fire and shock damage. I just had the same bug happen this time with a bandit. So far I have only had the problem happen when using frost damage spells like frost cloak or wall of frost. Any idea how that could be the cause of it? Edit: At first I didn't think it was a mod that was causing the problem but I took a look and found that wall of frost and frost cloak also have left hand entries. The left hand value for wall of frost was different then the wall of frost entry so I changed them to have the same value and I think that has fixed it. Haven't had that problem again after testing it on many enemies. I didn't change left hand value on frost cloak as they looked the same as the vanilla skyrim value. Thanks for the suggestion....it got me to look around and dig a little deeper...at least I think I fixed it.
  8. There is a dead bear bug with Skyrim. Some bears will not die. Well they die but they are still alive. You can loot them and they are still moving but they are dead and will often cause a CTD. There are many youtube videos on this bug. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F00My-XXFmU and many more.
  9. Same problem here. I tried down or not and it can connect to the server and says nothing is wrong with it. So it is only affecting very few people by the sounds of it which makes no sense .
  10. There is a bug with it currently because drag and dropping images only changes the order on some images. Some images will not change order no matter what you try and do.
  11. Can someone make an invisible door mod? I found one on the Nexus but it was removed. I tried using IsMarker which does make the door invisible but it also prevents the door from working. Problem is I edited an object in the game so it is 10 times its normal size. No matter what tricks I try with doors the message to open door does not appear. I can see the door but I am guessing there are invisible boundaries of the object that are overlapping and preventing the door from being activated. I've tried every trick I can think of even creating large doors hidden underneath the object hoping its invisible boundary is larger then the one it is hidden under. Is there a mod or trick to get around this problem? Edit: I searched forever before posting this especially on Google not knowing exactly what keywords to search for or how to describe the problem but finally found the answer on here and it works. Thanks to whoever posted the null texture tip somewhere else on the forum. I will be forever grateful. Had to use 8 doors, 4 in and 4 out instead of 1 in and 1 out but it worked rather well. Can finally finish the mod and upload it.
  12. Yes yes yes! I figured it out. Was so simple but not what I thought it would be. It was keywords and materials. Now Skyrim will witness the firepower of my fully armed and operational Battle Mage. :)
  13. Just as I thought. Not all perks in the light armor tree work for my new armor. Agile Defender, Custom Fit and Unhindered work but Matching Set does not work. Anyone know what needs to be changed for that perk to work?
  14. I made a new set of Guild Master armor with different enchantments on them so that the original Guild Master armor is not affected. I also saw a tutorial showing how to add recipes and temper. I don't need to be able to craft this armor at a forge so I didn't bother with recipes but I did create new temper entries pointing to the new Guild Master armor I created. I haven't tried my mod yet but I am pretty sure I will be able to improve this armor at a forge now because of that. I also went into the outfit section and created a new entry and added my new armor pieces to that new set. I think that is what is needed for the light armor perk tree to work on it. My question is will the Light Armor perk tree work on the new armor I created or is there something else I need to do? I tried this once before but was unable to get it to work but I think I might have it right this time or am very close. I am about to make a new character and try this out but I have a feeling I might still be missing something. Thanks!
  15. Thanks but I found a mod on here a couple weeks ago that makes it so it is always cloudy and foggy.
