  1. When making my character I ran into a unique warpaint, I've seen it somewhere else before I believe (within the elder scrolls), but can't remember. Does anyone know if there is a meaning behind this warpaint, does it belong to a certain clan of Dunmer or something else entirely: Hand of the Dunmer.
  2. Let's keep it civil please... Alright, do you have the older controller that was sold for PC or a XBox controller with separately sold PC receiver, and did you find troubles installing it? Mine would not install from the provided CD, no drivers on Microsoft's website, and Windows Update came up with nothing too. Had to install it using 'Choose Device from List'. Edit: Thing is, I find it hard to believe too that a controller could cause crashes, but when I crashed 3 times in a row on the same point (going through a gate to enter Windhelm), and then finally do not crash when disabling the XBox Controller and going mouse and keyboard... That tends to be rather persuasive...

Well, as the topic title and description say: XBox Controller seems to be guilty of making Skyrim crash, I've seen multiple topics stating this in my search, also some minor clues that it has to do with 64-bit systems. But does anyone know if there is a way to fix this? Or at least what causes it. I prefer to return my controller as it was screamingly expensive, or keep it if there is a fix as I strangely like using the controller over keyboard and mouse. But sadly the guy from the store can't take the controller back unless there is solid proof.
  4. Found some more info, though it does not solve my problem. It may however give some more insight for those who know how it works: Now I just made my two different models, the skinny _0 and fat _1 using Caliente's BodySlide, copied and renamed them, nothing more... Could it be that it somehow still counted? Because when I use these same models as a replacer, the weight slider suddenly works as it should in-game.
  5. They should be, I didn't create them, I generated them with the BodySlide tool that comes with CBBE v3. And when they are used to replace an existing clothing piece, 0 is indeed small and 1 is big. I simply copied these files, renamed them and created a new armor/clothing item in the Creation Kit. Edit: Also checked in NifSkope, but they are indeed different and correct.
  6. In-game it remains stuck in the big size (_1), while the other parts, like the neck of the head, does shrink, this becomes very clear as when you shrink it in-game with the weight slider, a gap starts to form around the neck.

Hello, tried to make a uniquely shaped piece of armor for character so other NPCs in the game don't share the same shape when wearing the same outfit, sadly though when testing the showracemenu weight slider, the armor remained stuck in Big-size while the rest of the body shrunk properly. I do have a _0 and _1 file, and in the creation kit at ArmorAddon I selected the _1 model in the Biped Model section of the item. It works in-game as the shape differs from others, it just doesn't want to resize. Is anyone perhaps willing to help?
  8. Well, actually fixed the issue with the help of the Nexus Chat, seems it was indeed an incorrect Alpha Priority in the Mesh file. If anyone else experiences the issues, I can share the fixed Meshes.
  9. I'm not sure if this issue has always been there, but it would seem I have an Alpha Texture glitching on the market stands like the ones found in Solitude. First thought it was one of my mods doing it so I stripped my Skyrim clean and well... It got less, not getting textures showing up on top of a texture that's in front of it, but still getting weird lighting (Weird even for Skyrim's stock lighting.) and missing shadows. Also, the parts of the same object that are behind the grating on the market stall seems to disappear, see the following image here for what I mean. Notice how only the counter-deck casts a shadow and how the front piece is not present behind the grating on the left. I was first thinking this was caused by the wrong Alpha Channel settings, but it seems to be Mesh related, something to do with priority I believe. I'm okay with modding textures, but have never done anything with Meshes. So if anyone knows how to fix this, could they perhaps make a mod for it?

Hello, I should probably read but, I'm going to ask here in case anyone has a moment or in case it is so simple that I'm wasting my time trying to figure this out, the documentation of TES5Edit is just confusing me at the moment. Anyway... Just installed a few mods, and ran BOSS, and suddenly, I got a few lines telling me I should clean my mods. Strangely these 'mods' are the original DLC's and the Update master files. (Also the Bash tag Delev is recommended for Dawnguard, but wonder if that is needed.) I just want to play, but also like any chance of reducing issues like crashing and whatnot. Is anyone willing to explain if this is something needing action, and if so, how it is done? Edit: Apologies, shot my question before checking, just noticed the other thread...
  11. Hi, I'm working with video capture, as I love to make video's about Skyrim, but for my effects I've ran into a problem. I like to sometimes green-screen a part but I dunno if the Creation Kit has something for that. So my questions are: Can I very easily make this green-screen myself, perhaps even just in the Creation Kit? If so, how? If not, is it very easy to make a plane and a green texture in NifSkope, preferrably with no collision, and add that as a static model in the Creation Kit? If that is too hard but a piece of cake for you, could one of you perhaps make this object for me? I assume it is scalable, it just needs to be mere plane with perfect green color. (R: 0 G: 255 B: 0) Can anyone tell me how to or help me? :unsure:
  12. Hi, I'm messing around with the console commands, and for a video I'm making, I'm trying to make a shot where a Septim is dropped on top of other coins from a height. But, it is really hard to get the camera in position before the coin drop on top and there is no way to freeze and unfreeze physics without the camera's position resetting. So my question is, is there a mod or way to actually unfreeze physics without exiting 'tfc' mode or is there a way to make a spawner in the Creation Kit? Hope my question doesn't sound too vague... :unsure:
  13. Hi, I'm enjoying some nice Antialiasing here since patch 1.4 made the game a bucket-load smoother, but something still bugs me... The 3D objects in menus have no AA, in Main menu and when viewing objects in your Inventory. I bet there is maybe a limitation involved, but if not, is there a way to get AA anyway? Can someone perhaps explain why this is happening?
