  1. In response to post #24710974. Where will this end? What is next? Will the future multiplayer Call of Duty be nothing but a $60 store front where you buy maps, equipment, guns and ammo separately before you can play? It must end somewhere, right?
  2. In response to post #24634024. #24634224 is also a reply to the same post. too late, Valve dropped the $$-bomb on the scene.
  3. In response to post #24599954. #24602409, #24606049, #24606329 are all replies on the same post. best case: the file stays up but Nintendo/Disney take 100% revenue :)

  5. Once people start using and uploading other compagnies IP to make a quick buck in the Steam Workshop things will go downhill for all modders and modding, not just for Skyrim. Big IP holders are usually not keen on other people making money from their IP. They’ve mostly turned a blind eye in the past when the mods were FREE but with this new wave of making money from mods one has to wonder for how long. Valve has a poor track record when it comes down to curating their store (Green Light and Early Access are a disaster area). Seeing there is a full page worth of Zelda related mods (Nintendo), Star Wars and Marvel related mods (Disney)… I fear for the future of sites like the Nexus. Yes the mods are free (now) but you are running ads on these pages and ads bring in money… I feel Valve and Bethesda have brought unwanted attention to the mod scene by allowing paid mods and taking 75% of the revenue.
  6. @Krazyguy75 Perhaps now is a good time to update your first post with information regarding to what works and what doesn't and how to get things to work with EW. Just so that people don't have to read through several pages of replies and to avoid questions that have already been answered.
  7. Got a new pc and installed only Skyrim +Dawnguard (and HighRes texture pack DLC). Started a new game and froze not 2 minutes into the game, still in the cart on its way to Helgen. Disabled Dawnguard, re-installed some of my mods and been playing for 4 hours without problems. Got the same experience on my old pc. After disabeling Dawnguard no more (random) freezes...
