  1. Hey, everyone! My name is Stephanie Young, and quite a few years agpo, I teamed up with several other members of the game modding community to build a fantasy game, but sadly, I had a lot of strokes due to a rare cerebrovascular diseas, starting in 2016, when most of our volunteer team members quit, . I guess after they got older, they lost interest, but one person stayed behind and is helping me work on what I no longer can. due to what all the strokes I had took ffom me. We are working in the latest Unreal Engine, and since we lost our website a;so, back in 2016, I post weekly prpomotional videos on our Facebook group page, in an attempt to get young people to help us out. Our goup page is here: Project Tokala Group | Facebook
  2. So, I want to make a custom creature follower...however, when I duplicate any creature race in the SE CK, I get no preview of the creature I duped in the duplicate race's preview screen, and when I create an NPC itself and apply the duplicate race I created, it shows up as a sword in the preview....and it shows as a sword also when I place it out into a world space. Has anyone been able to successfully create a creature companion for Skyrim SE?
  3. I am getting crashes during character creation too. I have no mods installed. I'm also using Windows 10, and I have an fx-6300, an R9 290x 4GB, and 16GB RAM. This is very annoying!! The game recommended that I play in high quality instead of ultra, but it runs ultra just fine from 45-60fps depending on the area. I guess I will try turning the graphics down to see if it helps any.
  4. Help me, guys! Please! I have been at this for days, and I'm about to be driven to my breaking point and just give up. I just don't understand what I am doing wrong. I am following these tutorials numerous times, and they have worked for my child armor set and my fox meshes with no problem: and But now, for some reason, I do everything the proper way, but end up only seeing the eyes from the original in Skyrim...like this: http://i66.tinypic.com/ojjl1e.jpg I have no idea what I am doing wrong, honestly. This is a pic of it in Nifskope, and it looks perfect....everything done according to instructions. http://i66.tinypic.com/2rzsbh0.png I've literally tried everything in my knowledge to figure this out....and I have been trying to figure it out for three whole days, and every time I try, I only get the eyes to show up. I even tried copying the lighting and shading properties over from the eyes, and that did absolutely nothing as well. I don't know if I will ever crack this code, but I figured that maybe if I get the file out, the mod community could help me. This is the Nif file with the textures: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4BmhiKTA2PBWmEtaUZ2OFZhVk0/view?usp=sharing Any help would really be appreciated!!!
  5. Guys, I am trying to implement a custom outfit I made for adopted children in Hearthfire, and I got it in the game as armor and armature for the armor to be based off of. It even had its own outfit form. I made it into an outfit with an invisible shoe mesh included, since the shoes are included as part of the main mesh, but I can't figure out how to make a function to give the clothing to the children. I tried adding it to a lot of lists in Hearthfire, but it still doesn't show up as an option to gift it to them. This is really confusing me. These are the meshes and textures that work well for boys and girls. I tried it on all of the original children clothes in the game, and it worked perfectly with the main outfit mesh and invisible shoes mesh both attached. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4BmhiKTA2PBdFhIU0FxcFNUS3M/view?usp=sharing It also works in Creation Kit as an outfit to place on child NPCs in the game, but I can't figure out how to make it work with the Hearthfire system. It's driving me insane!! I'm about to just have to replace one of the Hearthfire meshes with my nifs, though I don't even know how that will work because of the mesh requiring for the child to not wear shoes. Is this why there are no mods for custom Hearthfire clothes for kids? Anyway, this is what it's supposed to look like: http://i68.tinypic.com/32zv2h3.jpg Also, here's the esp that I made. The armor should be sold at most trinket shops throughout Skyrim, and I think I just call it "Children's Winter Clothes" ....it just doesn't seem to want to work on kids though, and it's not like you can make them a follower to equip the item...at least not without a mod. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4BmhiKTA2PBdVFDdDdxNkdCbEU/view?usp=sharing Please....if anyone has the knowledge to make this work, or to tell me how, please help me! I am not very familiar with the Creation Kit.
  6. Ohh, gotcha. I'll try it and see if I can make it work. Thanks. ^^
  7. Ohh, I'll do that then. I'll add the specular map to it. I wonder if I could add my other maps...I had a metallic map for the eyes to be shiny
  8. Thanks buddy. I did turn the specularity down when I was playing around with the nif. He looks better, but now the definition seems to be gone from the fur. I'll continue to play around some more. Thank you. :)
  9. BTW: I have solved this problem before for my Tokali Fox Follower mod, but that was so long ago, and I have already forgotten, lol.
  10. Hey everyone. I finally figured out how to add my mesh, but I have a new problem...I added my normal and diffuse textures and now it's really shiny! I'm sure that this problem will be much easier to figure out, so I might not need help, but if anyone can point me to a nice tutorial, it'd be helpful too. :) Shiny fox!!
  11. Bump maps are usually a solid color. Normal maps are newer and more advanced, because they have about three colors on them, and you can only use software to create them.
  12. Oooh, thank you! That really helps a lot! I will try to add weights to it in Blender then. Blender is what I've been using to rig and animate my models anyway. In fact, I made a new rig for the fox, and posed him. If I can't get him to work in Skyrim, he's definitely going in my game project...well, he's going in there anyway. xD Here's a Blender screenshot of him in an threatened/intimidated pose.
  13. Hello, everyone....I've been lurking around the community for a long time, and made a few texture, companion and weapon mods, but today, I am confused. I made a high quality replacement mesh for foxes, but I can't figure out how to make it show up in Skyrim. I've watched a bunch of tutorials, but they really confused me. I used to be able to edit creature meshes in 3Ds Max with no issues, and then just copy and paste the mesh into Skyrim, like I did in this video: (Sorry for sounding so confused in the video. I have brain abnormalities that prevent me from talking preoperly, so you'll find it to be repetitive) But yeah....no issues from exporting a mesh to .obj, and importing it again to replace the original. But it seems that because this is a completely new mesh, the game doesn't like it at all...whenever I load up the game, it will show up as invisible, and I'm sad. :( I followed tutorials, but they were very confusing....does anyone know of any tutorials that are easy to follow? Here's a picture of the new mesh that I want to add: And here it a link to my files and the original, so you can see the difference from the new and the old. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4BmhiKTA2PBUk9LcEZWRWh0SWc/view?usp=sharing
  14. I really need this mod. I suffered from a stroke a little while back, which has kept me from being able to use a keyboard and mouse, due to very limited control, and a limited range of motion in my right hand. I've seen folks make amazing UI controller mods for other games, but this one is my favorite of them all. Please...for my sake, I'm humbly asking for the modding community to try to make something like this.
  15. Hey guys...sorry for being offline. I haven't really been able to access this site for a while. Still having trouble getting it to load at all. Anyway, I've still been working on my own game project. Always looking for more members. It is here: http://www.projecttokala.com
