  1. As a few of you might know, I recently created a mod that introduced a new race into Skyrim, the Myrians. Their description mentions that they come from an island called Myrevale. Because I have WAY too much free time and keeping the Myrian mod updated isn't all that difficult, I've decided to make a mod that adds Myrevale into the game. I'll post updates on the mod's progress here; if you have any ideas or comments, be sure to let me know! Here's a screenshot of the island in its (very) early stages: http://i.imgur.com/7IxkS.jpg
  2. A little bit of info on Myrevale and nearby islands: Although Myrevale is far to Skyrim's north, deep in the Sea of Ghosts, it has a fairly mild climate. This is due to the steam vents and hot springs that cover the island, as well as a oceanic current (similar to the Gulf Stream) that brings warm air from the south to the area. Physically, the islands would seem rather strange and alien to outsiders; they are covered with geysers and shallow pools stained green by mineral deposits. Giant, luminescent fungi and other bizarre flora grow around them, taking advantage of the warmth. Myrians build their homes on stilts to avoid the occasional jet of scalding water or dangerous predator. Although Myrevale lacks large mammals, it possesses a wide variety of other creatures, such as chaurus, mudcrabs, and gigantic spiders. Fortunately, these creatures usually stay in the cave systems that link the islands together. These caves are the only method of traveling between islands; sharp rocks and jagged reefs make using ships nearly very difficult. Here's a picture of Eastmarch in Skyrim, which shares some features with Myrevale: http://img708.imageshack.us/img708/3126/eastmarch11wm.jpg
  3. I recently created a new race, the Myrians (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24703), and I've been wanting to add their homeland, Myrevale, into the game. However, the process of creating a worldspace is... beyond me, to say the least. As such, I'm asking for help creating Myrevale. If anyone's interested, I'll be happy to add in any features you want in the mod (custom NPCs, new abilities, etc.). Thanks for reading!
  4. http://i.imgur.com/mhy8P.jpg Hi, I've recently published my first mod, which adds a new race called the Myrians to Skyrim (the mod is currently on the Steam Workshop if you want to get it; I'll add it to the Nexus soon). However, I'm not entirely happy with the Myrians. I want them to look a bit less humanlike, and more beastly. To that end, I'd like to find someone willing to a) give them a scaly head skin to match the Argonian body, or b) to create an entirely new head mesh and texture. If you help, I'll gladly list you as a contributor to the mod. Thanks!
  5. The mod doesn't add any new textures or sounds (it creates a new race through), so I guess I don't need anything but the .esp files. Thanks!
  6. That's the problem; I can't find the files for the mod.
  7. I'm trying to upload a mod to the Steam Workshop, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it to work! I can't find any good tutorials online; they all just tell me to create an archive and drop files into it. The problem is, I can't find the files; all I can find is the mod's .esp, .thd, and .bsl files. This is driving me crazy; please help!
  8. Well, I based the different forms on what animals just seemed to "fit" with the different races, or animals that are mentioned as werebeasts in lore.
  9. I don't really want to mess around with the coding too much, so that this mod is compatible with as many werewolf-related mods as possible.
  10. Or there could be a power that you get when you become a werewolf that allows you to choose which Beast Form you want.
  11. Is anyone interested in actually working on this mod yet?
  12. I'm not sure Bosmer "weretrees" would make a whole lotta sense... If anything, Argonians should be weretrees, what with their connection to the Hist and all. On an unrelated note, is anyone actually interested in working on this mod yet?
  13. That's pretty much the plan, yeah... Although the werewolf sounds actually aren't all that wolf-ish (they're just generic roars and all that), so they could work for almost any werebeast. Ideally, the mod would be a simple model change for each race's Beast Form (I'm not sure what that would do to compatibility, but...)
  14. Well, that's why I'm proposing the mod-maker would use models from the SkyMoMod (with permission, of course).
  15. (Sorry for the double post, but the forum isn't letting me edit my post for some reason.) I've expanded on the initial idea a bit, and I've come up with a way to make the coding for the mod a LOT easier. Instead of each race having a distinct Beast Form, there would be a power/spell that allows the player to choose which Beast Form they want. The forms are all functionally identical; they'd just look different.
