  1. Are there any plans for making a more mobile friendly site? I've been aching to ask for a while now, but haven't had the chance to do so. I like to check on the site every now and then when I'm out, or don't have my laptop handy. I'm actually typing this on my phone right now.
  2. There's an added "building materials" tab on every anvil/forge, and for as far as I can see hearthfire doesn't replace TESV.exe or anything, so it has to be in some script in there I would bet.
  3. Has anyone here looked into the fact that hearthfire has an added crafting category? as far as I know, this has been done in one of the scripts added in hearthfire, and not the game itself. So it should be possible to find out how they did it with hearthfire by looking at all the scripts in there...right? o.o
  4. I'd like to know something similar, I'm trying to create an item that should interact about the same way as simple coins on the ground do, however it looks like there's something I'm missing, as I can't seem to get my custom nif to show up in CK =/ So a tutorial on how to do those things would be nice indeed :I
  5. Hmm I could probably help out a bit with modeling in general, however I only know 3ds max, got blender some time ago and almost instantly gave up on it since 3ds max seemed sooo much easier to use. All I can say about blender is look around google for beginner level tutorials for blender, and just watch/read as many tutorials as you can. I'm a game design student, so I learned how to use 3ds max at school, but I can honestly say that I learned most from tutorials I found on the internet. Also for the whole program list, Its probably a good idea to have the skyrim creation kit as well, as modding will be rather limited without it.
  6. Ok, so here's my big problem: I can't seem to get a proper workflow going on how I should skin/ export to nif/ import in CK my armor. I've made the whole armor, and keep re-doing the whole process because something had gone wrong. Are there any ways to make sure that I don't have to start the whole nifskope nonsense over every time I see a clipping error and have to adjust my skin modifier? Also, right now I have my whole armor set in one max file, I should probably split these up in one file for each piece of armor, right? Anything else that could make the whole process a little less...well, tedious? Any input is welcome, as right now I have no idea of whether or not I am actually ever gonna finish this mod. Anyway, thanks in advance, I'll be fidgeting around with my armor a bit more now... :D
  7. Hi, I've got a little problem with skyrim not recognizing any nif files I make, I have made some mods before, and back then they would work fine, but now when I for example replace an iron helmet nif file with my helmet nif file, and also replace textures (and texture locations in the nif file) then start the game it will still show the standard iron helm, indicating it is using the bsa file, not the unpacked thing. Also when trying to make a standalone helm, changing the helm model won't work, it gives an "error 0", telling me the nif file doesn't exist. Opening the file in nifskope works fine, importing in 3ds max works fine as well. I am clueless, i've followed a bunch of different tutorials to make sure I've not done anything wrong, but even after checking everything none of my newly created nifs seem to show up. Any idea's?
  8. Hi, I got this same bug on a load of buildings I'd been placing, and by accident found out that renaming the esp file would always bring back my buildings. I am assuming it has something to do with the creation kit being open and even tho you've saved your esp it is still seemingly making your esp buggy. Renaming then naming it back once you're done testing in game works fine. I found this out by sending a copy of my esp file to a friend over msn. The copy had been renamed to not spoil the name for him, and it worked fine on his end. So when I loaded the game with both my original and my copy it then worked for me too. Eventually I tried deleting the copy and renaming my original, and this worked as well. So for anyone still annoyed by things disappearing in game, try renaming your esp for a sec and try again ^^
  9. How would I go about finding all my spells that I don't actually have anymore? I've recently uninstalled a few mods, but I can't possibly remember their names D8
