  1. Thanks for the help, everyone. I think I may have to follow the rebuilding approach. I figure I'll copy in stuff from 6.5 bit by bit, testing frequently and keeping backups every test. If I run into anything that repeats the issue, I'll be able to identify what it is, if anything. Like nerdofprey said, it's probably going to take less time to redo the work than try to fix an issue that may or may not be resolvable. Since it's affected every town and city, it's gotta be something invisibly corrupted. I just can't find it and don't want to go crazy looking for it.
  2. I've been working the past few months on a new version (i.e. 6.5) of my mod Relics of Hyrule, and finally finished it. Somehow, a game-breaking bug slipped through during the development of 6.5, and I have not been able to figure out how to fix it. I've been working at it for a few days now with no results or clues. Every time I or any of the mod's users try to start a new game or approach a town or city, the game will enter an infinite loading screen or simply freeze. The issue around cities is also so precise that you can essentially dance around near an invisible border around the city, but as soon as you get closer, the game freezes. The issue affects every town and city, as well as Hearthfire homes, but not military camps or other small settlements. If users roll-back to the previous update, 6.49g, everything goes back to normal. The older versions of the mod don't cause this issue, and I have done my best to compare them to 6.5 to figure out what is causing the issue, but nothing I have tried has worked. I've checked quests, scripts, location data, NPCs, dirty edits, and have cleaned the mod with TESVEdit. I've checked missing scripts, Creation Kit logs and Papyrus logs, and I've experimented with the issue dozens of times, but have found nothing other than that it is easily replicated. I first thought it was caused by something related to the courier, but couldn't find any proof. It may also be related to LOD somehow, but I don't know how to check or fix it if that is the case. Does anyone have any suggestions about how to either check for the error(s) causing the issue, or how to move forward? If anyone wants to take a look at the problematic .esp file I still have it on the Relics of Hyrule mod page. You'll find it in the miscellaneous files section. 6.5 and 6.5a (the first attempted fix) have virtually identical .esp files, but 6.5a just contains the .esp file, while 6.5 has meshes and such.
  3. Might have found the reason why Sword Beams don't work for some people. Posted in the Relics of Hyrule forum topic.

Also (stupid character limit), it's a long post with lots of testing, but I cut it down to a TL;DR version, a clean version, and one with ALL my detailed findings. Hope it helps!
  4. I was having a very similar problem, and luckily found this thread about it. I know it's a year after the issue was resolved, but for future players who run into the same problem, I'll detail the solution I came to: xp32's XPMS includes a patch for folks who don't use FNIS, and installing that patch cured the awkward blocking issue for me. Here's a link to the XPMS mod page
  5. PEOPLE OF NIRN!! I think I has the solution! Browsing the description of the Colorful Magic Mod by 184Gesu unearths this console command: player.setav waterwalking -1 I used this, and my character can swim again! player.setav waterwalking 0 may also work, but it didn't work for me.
  6. Yeah, finishing Lakeview Manor didn't help Heljarchen Hall, and the glitchy walls are back at the Manor. The way I used the console to rebuild before was typing, as written help "Library" (or whatever thing you're rebuilding) and scroll up find the codes, labeled MISC. I think Lakeview Manor's items are the lowest numbered codes, but I honestly don't know. Then type player.additem ####### 1 You have to do that for every piece of the addition or it wo'n't work as far as I know, and I know very little about code. Do so carefully and at your own risk! My way is probably the worst workaround possible. Also, I think my Lakeview Manor is broken now. I did some things out of order, and now I have two sets of doors, one leading to Falkreath Hold, and one leading to the addition, but the wall is in the way, so I ca'n't get in. Also, player.removeitem does not deconstruct the house as you may think it might.
  7. I may have discovered a cause to the problem when Heljarchen Hall will not build properly. My character built Lakeview Manor, but I forgot she even owned it. I had just begun building an addition to it when I started building Heljarchen Hall, which of course did not appear, despite using resources. When I discovered that she owned Lakeview Manor, I visited it, only to find that the doors to the completed Enchanter's Tower were embedded in the indoor walls. I think the Main Hall for Heljarchen Hall was built at Lakeview Manor instead. Using the console to build the Enchanter's Tower again solved this. Basically, it seems that (at least in my experience) starting a new house while in the process of building a new one can cause issues. I'm going to complete Lakeview Manor and see if doing so will make Heljarchen Hall appear or at least be buildable. EDIT: Finishing Lakeview Manor didn't help. I'm going to live in Hjerim instead.
  8. I'm very, very sorry, but I'm not going to be able to make the mod. I have to dedicate my time to other responsibilities unrelated to Skyrim.
  9. I will see what I can do. Both requests are very simple, but it may take a few days for me to complete. Do you want the clothes to have an armor rating, or have none like other clothes? Also, what is the name of the character in your second request? I am not terribly familiar with King's Quest lore. It will ultimately be made as a standalone mod, crediting zzjay for the hat, and I will make sure that both genders and all races can wear the clothes, as I do with all of my mods.
