Fresh Install, Mods Not Recognized, Please Help!
dup3w4sh1ngt0n posted a topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
i, after many, many years I have decided to hop back into Skyrim. I had SE from years back (never played), and just purchased the Anniversary edition after looking at some of the requirements for the mods I wanted. I spent the better part of this afternoon trying to install all of the mods I thought I would enjoy for a playthrough, only to load the game and it tell me there are not any mods present. I am very old school and manually installed everything. I've tried googling what I thought would be a fairly simple fix, but to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you! -
Blender 3D and exporting to .fbx

Yeah, it just looks like you have to recalculate the normals -
Hi, My cutscenes are broken on all games and have been since initial install. I just did a clean install but it's just more of the same. I'm making a ND mod for Bianca as some of you have requested, but I can't test to see if it's working properly. Has anyone else ran into the same problem with broken cutscenes? Best,

Hi! So I made a JaneBod-slider compliant Wonder Body mesh, but when I transfer over the three cloth bones that enable physics, the third one that restricts the movement of the other two doesn't copy for some reason. Is there any way (ie using Nifskope) to successfully add the bone?
-
That's just how it is. When converting a outfit and having it conform to a body, Bodyslide applies the tris (what allows the mesh to deform with a slider) that are already present on the body. The outfit will then deform in the same way the body does; if the breasts are "scrunched" together (ie like cleavage), then the outfit mesh will be too. There are two ways around this (in my experience): 1) when conforming the outfit to the reference body, deselect the sliders you feel like would cause what you don't want to happen, though the results may not be what you want. 2) Delete the reference body and save it as just the outfit, that way you can adjust the outfit without the reference body being affected, This way is more difficult because you have to edit the esp file to make the clothes not use the Biped 33 slot. It's not hard at all once you get the hang of it, but if you're just starting out it can be overwhelming.

Player-Only Vanilla Outfits

Well, I am just now getting into a bit of modding myself, but I do know that if you are using a different skeleton mesh beyond the human or ghoul bodies of something like CBBE bodyslide, you need to create entirely new custom meshes. Like for example, there is a hilarious mod that lets you summon Deathclaws in french maid costumes. Now, while this isn't a player race, the mod still requires custom meshes that install alongside the French maid costume to make it fit on a deathclaw properly. So, you would need to do a similar thing with your custom race for ALL outfits you wanted your Custom Race to be able to wear. Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I already know that, but the esp isn't working. My PC uses the skeleton, but not the custom meshes -
Hi, Sorry for the spam, but I would like of someone could help me. Because of life, I've been really busy and unable to really work on stuff, but I recently revisited an old attempt to create a new .esp that combines the functionality of RaceCustomizer and the player-specific meshes of Custom Player Race, but to no avail. The player is definitely uses a different skeleton, but not the outfit meshes. Is this even possible? Can someone experienced look at my work and walk me though what's wrong? Thank you

Animating/Scripting a Treadmill
dup3w4sh1ngt0n replied to dup3w4sh1ngt0n's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Thank you! do I have to complete it or is there another way? That's the one where you have to manipulate people and brainwash them, right? -
Hi, I want to create a gym in one of my settlements and thought a treadmill, bicycle, and elliptical would be cool. How hard would it be to script/animate each one?
-
I was pretty diligent about checking all of that... but there was one part that I failed to check... OBJECT TEMPLATES. (I had planned to customize those later but had left them alone because I had assumed it wouldn't be a problem. Silly me.) As per your PM, I ran an error check in FO4Edit and it noted some weird discrepancies down in the Combination entries in the Object Templates, little memory errors like "expected 1 kb, found 0". To be on the safe side, I went through and deleted all the Object Templates for every single custom armor piece. Lo and behold, my mod now let's me load the game to the menu! My best guess is that somehow copying the entries over (in FO4Edit) caused weird data corruptions in the file but just in the Object Templates. Or something, I don't know. It's so weird. At any rate, I think we've found the solution! Thank you icestormng for your help and guidance! So anyway, dup3w4sh1ngt0n, I hope this gives you an idea of how/where to check your mod for errors. Yea, thank you guys. It just turns out that i forgot to change the Addon Index from 0 to -1. Once I did that, everything worked fine :)
