  1. Well, in any case, I don't think there was anything subjective about my complaints. The first "gameplay" video and all they do is talk about how you can't do this or that. Sure, lots of people will buy it, but only because it has "The Elder Scrolls" in its name.
  2. Oh pwease pwease care about it, it'll just bweak my little heart if you don't!! Oh wait.. *Image removed*
  3. There's a helluva lot of difference between making "Skyim Online" and "World of Elder Scrolls". Judging by their first gameplay video, it reeks of WoW clone. What's that MMO design method? Ah, right -- take an interesting game idea and then restrict the crap out of it and convert normal gameplay into a button-mashing action bar. They're sure taking a bold step into the MMO world! Really breaking the mold.
  4. Not true. Bethesda is part of "ZeniMax Media" but TES: Online is being created by "ZeniMax Online Studios", which has none of the people from Bethesda in it. And as for the rest of you, complaining about my negativity, I have valid reasons for thinking it's gonna suck. If I saw an asteroid heading straight at me you can bet I'd say "this is gonna suck" and I'd be right.
  5. Having watched the first gameplay video of The Elder Scrolls: Online, here are the reasons why it is going to suck, terribly: 1. There are three factions, but they are all trying to do the same thing. 2. The fact that your character is confined to a faction means that quests will rarely have any element of choice or freedom to them. 3. You cannot explore territory outside of your faction. 4. There are classes (such as mage, warrior, etc.). 5. There are abilities on an action bar, which means it will feel like a WoW-esque button masher. 6. The fact that there are class specific abilities means it will not be viable to play as a mixed-class (mage with a bow, etc.). 7. Perhaps most important of all, it is not actually being made by Bethesda. Overall, what this means is that the company making the game (ZeniMax Online Studios) is making it just like every other MMO: by taking a fun concept then restricting the s*** out of it until there is no freedom or choice and it is boring as hell.
  6. I've been receiving the key in my inventory, but no menu activates when I activate it. So, I can corroborate his problem. :wallbash:
  7. I did - but I don't think it's relevant to this problem. After uninstalling Oblivion, I installed it again to C:\Games\. Then I moved it to C:\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\. Then I installed TES4Edit, and for some reason, it looked in C:\Games\ instead of the correct folder.
  8. TES4Edit was installed after I moved Oblivion - so I'm thinking that the problem must be with a setting in one of Oblivion's files.
  9. Is there any chance that you could go into more detail on how to use OBGE? It's my understanding that the core file doesn't actually do anything. What do I need to download and activate to actually get the effects working in-game?
  10. Hey guys. I'm learning how to use TES4Edit, but I have a problem. Since installing Oblivion, I have moved it. TES4Edit is searching for my ESPs and ESMs in the old location, and there is no place within the program where I can change this. Once again, I must beg for help. :psyduck: Please and thanks!
  11. It worked! My Oblivion is now very beautifully Vanilla. Now time to fix that... Thanks guys!
  12. Hey all. I'm wondering if anybody knows any good mod lists. None of the lists in the official thread really catered to my tastes, and more than half had broken links to the Bethsoft Forums. I'm looking for the following... Graphical Improvements Environmental Performance (FPS Boosters) Immersion (Nothing too far out there, though. I.E. I don't want to have to eat food/drink/sleep regularly or anything along those lines.) Patches Gameplay Changes (But nothing heavy, difficult to install, or with a lot of incompatabilities.) I'm also not really looking for anything with adult content, house mods, or weapon and armor mods. If I want any of that, I can find it. So, if you know any good lists along these lines, your help would be appreciated. Also, I have an unrelated question. I was looking at OBGE, and I don't really understand how to actually activate it for use in the game. It talks about how it provides scripts for certain visual effects, but is very unhelpful as far as how to get a basic setup running. Any help there would be appreciated as well. :ohdear:
  13. Would something like Local Disk (C:) \ Games work? And will this affect it in any way? Edit: I've decided to simply try both suggestions at once. :turned:
  14. Umm, when I try to open half of these, I just get linked to the Bethsoft Forum Index...
