  1. Hi guys  We (SureAI Team) are greatly honored to be nominated as "Fan Creation of the Year" at the SXSW Gaming Awards. If you enjoyed Enderal please cast us your vote at the Award's homepage. Just follow the link above and scroll down to the category "Fan Creation of the Year" - Voting is possible without any registration! Thank you all, guys! Till (Dev, QA, Support) PS: Hopefully this post isn't against the rules or in the wrong sub forum. PPS: Here is a little Sneak peek into the new soundtrack of the "Forgotten Stories" DLC/Addon. More news about it will follow soon.
  2. Dear fellow modders, I’m Nicolas, one of the project leads on Enderal. As some of you might know, we are currently planning the development of a DLC (announcement to follow pretty soon), which is supposed to wrap up some of the loose ends of the story, as well as enhance the game-play. To make the long story short: There are a couple of features I would love to implement, but since it is more or less a one-man project (or, to be more precise, I will be the only one working on it full-time – thus, it will not be flagged as an official project of “SureAI”), we probably will not have time to implement them. So, I was wondering: Are there any experienced game-designers/scripters among you who would like to help out? Needless to say that reliability is very important in our team – we have a very professional approach to modding (in fact, many of us work professionally in the videogame industry) Also, if reliability is given, we believe in providing every team members with a certain amount of creative freedom since, after all, modding is all about passion. If you’re interested, let me know via this thread or shoot me an eMail to [email protected]. Our website: http://sureai.net/studio/ All the best! Nicolas
  3. Hey Dreez, Thanks! This is pretty much what I've been doing - we're working on a Total Conversion (Enderal) and right now our loading times are kind of problematic (particularly the capital city), but if there isn't a shortcut I'll just have to do it manually. Thanks! Edit: Okay, I just had a chat with our LD lead! Turns out there actually is a function for this! It is in Preferences -> View -> View Scene Info (haven't checked it myself). Apparently it does exactly what I was looking for - display the number of textures used, and even the individual texture size. :) Best, Nic
  4. Hey Dreez, Thanks! Nah, that's not exactly what I was looking for. Though I will take a closer look at that tools. Basically, what I'd need is a way to display all textures currently loaded in a cell. For example, if there's a plank that uses a 1k or 512 map that is not used elsewhere in this worldspace, I want to change that texture to something more fitting. Obviously, that can also be done by just taking a close look at the cell itself, but most engines have such a tool, so I thought CE might, too. :)
  5. Hi everyone, I was wondering whether there's a window in the CK that displays all currently loaded textures in the viewport/in all currently loaded cells. It would come very handy in terms of optimisation, since too many textures affect the loading times very badly. Is there? :) Thanks in advance! Nicolas
  6. Hello everyone, Simple question: Is there any way to disable the player deathcam? I'm asking because in Enderal, we have a talent that kicks in once the player is in bleedout and regenerates him. The game always enters into the "bleedout"-cam, and that is annoying - I've tried adding conditions to the camera paths and altering the VATS-section of the .ini, but nothing seems to work. Are there any known workarounds? :) Thanks in advance!
  7. Okay, will do! :) And yeah, Tamira, we're giving our best. Won't be long!
  8. Don't get me wrong - of course we took a look at the original Skyrim.esm and compared how the actors are set up, but it's all identical, that's the issue. I can only imagine that there's a problem with the processing of landing zones, et cetera, and frankly, even though I've had a look at the dragonactorscript, I don't know how these are determined. I guess it's hard-coded. Since there are many dragon mods out there, though, I thought that somebody around here might be able to give us a hint.
  9. No, no mods - we're working on a Total Conversion project. This might be the problem, since we don't have any vanilla dragon actors to see how Bethesda set it up. :(
  10. Hello everyone, I'm having a weird problem: When I set up a dragon fight, everything works fine, except for the fact, that the dragons only use shouts. They've got the dragonactorscript attached to them, as well as the appropriate combat style. Am I overlooking something? Thanks in advance! Nicolas
  11. Hello everyone, My name is Nicolas and I'm part of the SureAI-Modding team. For those who don't know us, we're the team behind Total Conversions such as "Arktwend - The Forgotten Realm", "Myar Aranath", and, probably our most prestigious project up-to-date, "Nehrim: At Fate's Edge", an Oblivion Total Conversion, which has been downloaded more than 1 000 000 times worldwide by now, and has been translated into 8 different languages by fans. Since 2011 we're working on a Total Conversion for Skyrim, called "Enderal: The Shard's of Order". Here's an (outdated) release thread which I've started a couple of years ago: Enderal: The Shards of Order (Click me) We're also represented on Moddb.com, where we post regular updates: Enderal on Moddb.com Right now the development is slowly coming to an end - slowly indeed, with around a year to go - , and though Enderal will be a unique experiences in many places (offering a professionally voiced questline - this time also in English - with around 30 hours of playing time, a custom built world the size of Skyrim, with a percentage of 60% unique assets and textures, different climate zones ranging from tropical to heathlands, and an entirely overhauled leveling and class system with a new interface and animations), one place still lacking manpower is 3D Art. Though we have several talented artists, we're simply not enough to achieve what we want. Right now we've got all the high priority assets finished, but when it comes to custom creatures and, even more urgently, custom armors, we still don't have a lot. So this is our plea for support: If you're a 3d artist, preferably with experience, and are looking for a grand-scale project to support, we'd very much appreciate your help. Enderal will be released - and, if it's success is only equivalent to Nehrim, have a lot of players -, and every member of our team will have his or her place in the games credits. Furthermore, we're also looking to start a commercial project - a small one -, pretty soon, since most of us are either already working in the game-industry on the verge of it. If anyone is interested, please shoot us an eMail to [email protected]. We'd be grateful! Thanks in advance, Nicolas
  12. A lot of things have happened in the past twelve months – Both in the development of Enderal and in our team. We have worked a lot, we overcame obstacles, and we grew closer together through team meetings and the fact, that a lot of us now live in the same city – Munich. It would be a lie to say that mod development is always easy, because it isn’t. Realizing the vision of a mod project of such great scale doesn’t only require creativity and a whole lot of passion, but above all a lot of stamina, reliability and an eye for the feasibility of one’s own goals. It is so easy to get lost in the invention of countless, unrealizable features! So now the year has come to an end, and with new experiences under our belt and many miles closer to our goal, a new year is awaiting us – hopefully as productive and insightful as this one! The constant support of our fans, the commitment of our voluntary voice actors, and tokens of appreciation such as achieving the 2nd place in this years “Mod of the year”-awards (Category: Best upcoming) will help us a lot with that. The last one wouldn’t have been possible without your support, and we sincerely want to thank you for all your votes. As well with these words as with a “end of the year”-bundle we have put together to express our gratitude as well as to grant you new insights into the game Enderal will be. We were actually planning to release the second episode of our devblog, but we postponed it since we wanted to give you all something “special”, which you will find at the end of this post. We were unsure on whether to release it or not, but we did – and we hope you will all like it. That being said, we wish you both a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2014! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ http://www.sureai.de/gallery/i.php?/upload/2013/12/26/20131226202030-4c192cb2-sm.jpg The Sun Temple - Work in progress http://www.sureai.de/gallery/i.php?/upload/2013/12/26/20131226181111-da46be78-sm.jpg - Vyn: From the archives of the Order http://www.sureai.de/gallery/_data/i/upload/2013/12/26/20131226182223-7ec79b96-sm.png Oorbaya - Concept Art „There are two ways to deal with the magic that has broken free inside you. The first one: Turn to the Holy Order. They will take care of you, and if you perform well, they might make you one of their own. In their ranks you will learn how to control this raw, undirected power inside you. And the stronger your will, the purer your meditation, the more the magic will bend to your will… and ultimately serve you as a companion, much like a faithful steed which possesses its own will but is in a state of perfect harmony with its rider. If you decide against the Order, you will become one of the pathless men or women we call Wild mages. And even though you might rise to great power this way, this power will be like a rabid Shadow wolf, who possesses the ability to devour anything in its path, but who will ultimately turn against its master. And someday, my son, when your soul has been completely torn apart by the magic in your veins, it will dispose entirely of your bodily shell… and then you will become one of the beasts, which bards and poets alike call “Oorbaya” – or the “Blue Death”. The choice is yours.” http://www.sureai.de/gallery/i.php?/upload/2013/12/26/20131226181013-67f9be41-sm.png Story Teaser Since very little has been told about the story of Enderal (Apart from the first chapter of the „Butcher of Ark“, we decided to change that. This is a short teaser aiming to provide a small insight into the themes and the general feel of Enderal’s story. We have been trying to create a world that is both beautiful, fantastic and humorous, but also dark, cruel and deep. But: Don’t tell, show. Best wishes, SureAI
  13. Today's the last chance to vote in the Moddb.com-elections! If you like our project, we'd be very grateful if you'd vote for us: we're running for the category "Best Upcoming". A high ranking might help us to get more voice actors onboard (Even English ones) and show us that all of this hard work is actually appreciated. :) You can vote here: No registration necessary! http://www.moddb.com/mods/enderal
