  1. I'm having problems getting Guenhwyvar to be summonable. I've followed various tutorials and cannot get it to work. I need a volunteer that knows how to do such things to get this to work or at least help me out. Any help is vastly appeciated, otherwise I'm going to take the easy way out.
  2. Sounds good, take your time. I'll be ready. Still preparing to write the script.
  3. I found out how to make him dual wield his swords. Works perfectly!
  4. Very nice!! Hmm, 5'4" I'll have to see what that translates to in the CK.
  5. Oh, you may notice Drizzt is WAY too tall. LOL. I was messing around and forgot to reset his height. It's like 1.3101 or some such. Should be 1.1101, etc. I was testing making sure he follows properly and all and said "uh oh".
  6. I have written and obtained the blessing of R.A. Salvatore to do a Drizzt Do'Urden companion mod for Skyrim. I am looking for someone to join the team that can do the face and appearance work, as I want him to look fantastic, not a typical Skyrim NPC. If anyone is interested or knows of someone who may be PLEASE IM me!
  7. I'm having this issue as well and everything should work. Even the quest objectives won't show, even ones with no alias while another small quest I have, they do work. Doesn't make any sense at all.
  8. Viconia DeVir for Skyrim by Sultericdrums Introduction For those unfamiliar with the previous versions of Viconia DeVir, this mod is a port of the Viconia DeVir romance that was part of the game Baldur's Gate II – Shadows of Amn. This was brought into Oblivion with permission, and is now "ported" to Skyrim. Porting is not an appropriate term, this mod was redone from scratch because of the changes in the Creation Kit. If Viconia DeVir is new to you, are you ready to try and romance a Drow female? Those new to Viconia should do a google search on her name to see what you are getting yourself into. For those that remember Viconia, this mod has attempted to preserve the original Viconia DeVir romance from BGII with some changes and enhancements, which I feel make it better. Story Meet Viconia DeVir, a female Drow cleric from the AD&D Forgotten Realms plane. The Drow are a fierce underground race that reside in The Underdark. They are an exceptionally brutal race ruled by women. The males serve only to please them and are treated mainly as slaves. Considered a threat to Lolth, Viconia was banished across the planes to Tamriel in the Third Age during the Oblivion Crisis. Once there she was saved from execution by her friend and eventual lover. At the time, unknown to the citizens of Cyrodill, Lolth’s banishment of Viconia opened portals between the Underdark and Tamriel. Viconia and her lover went on a long and dangerous journey back to the Underdark to save Viconia’s brother, Valas, and to confront Lolth once and for all. Valas was saved and came back to Tamriel while Lolth was killed in her own temple. Viconia and her lover were wed by the Drow, whose culture has since changed drastically. The two returned to Tamriel and the portals were sealed, never to be opened again. Valas spent time at the Mages Guild but his current location is unknown. Now well over 100+ years later Viconia remains, her husband having passed because of old age. Drow live exceptionally long lives when not exposed to the horrors of the Underdark. She now wanders Skyrim offering her services and exceptional skills in combat and you will find her in Jorrvaskr in Whiterun. Are you up to the challenge of winning her heart? Required Mods None but some are recommended. Amazing Follower Tweaks is a must have and saved me considerable time not having to reinvent the wheel, so to speak. It's available here: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/15524 Important Notes Warning: Read this document, it contains important information you will need to play this mod and have the best playing experience possible. If you ask me questions on the forums I will likely point you back here if the information is contained within this document. Viconia's AI is currently the stock follower AI in Skyrim. I have not made her stand-alone yet. I hope to do so. If any scripters would like to help me with this and join the team, email or PM me. If you want more than one stock follower you need to use the Amazing Follower Tweaks mod. It's available here: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/15524 The mod is now around eighty quest stages and has over ten new stages pulled from the "Return to the Underdark"mod from Oblivion. If you played the original two mods for Oblivion you will notice some changes. Some dialog has been dropped, some changed and a great deal has been added. Some conversations from the Underdark mod have been added to this where it made sense to do so. Some conversations have been modified to mention the fact that she didn't just get here, she's been here since the Oblivion crisis. She will briefly mention her former husband and her daughter. Starting the Quest Upon starting the mod you will automatically receive a note in your inventory and a quest will begin to find Viconia DeVir. You can choose to do this at any time you wish. Upon reading the note you will be instructed as to where to find her. Once you speak with her the first quest will end and her romance quest will begin. This was done this way for ease of programming and to work out an internal dialog bug revolving around starting quests. Features: • An epic romance quest with a female Drow. Any questions? • Voiced by the original actor from Baldur's Gate as well as one of the best voice actors in the Elder Scrolls modding community. Note: not all lines have been voiced, the re-voicing project was never completed because the new voice actress had some real life issues come up. Some of the stages will only have the first line of the conversation voiced and the rest silent just like iit was in Baldur's Gate II. These stages use the voicing of Grey Delisle, the original voice actress. All attempts to finish the revoicing of the mod have been refused. I have done the best I can. If this is an issue for you delete the mod now. If you know of someone that can match the new voice email me. • Viconia has an extensive list of flirtations to keep your travels more interesting and your relationship with Viconia more immersive. No other companion has this feature and it based off of one of the mods for Baldur's Gate II. • Better combat AI than the original mod. • You can now marry her as you can with the other stock compaions. Bug Fixes There have been many improvements over the original Oblivion mod. • Unsheathing and sheathing of her weapon during combat is fixed . • Quest logs have been improved. Pay careful attention to them. • AI in general is much improved. Viconia uses the stock companion logic built in by Bethesda yet will not interfere with any of the other stock companions. Viconia's Home Viconia's home is now Jorrvaskr, The Companions Lodge in Whiterun. If you get separated from her or take a different companion she will return there. Reseting of her home is not yet supported but should be soon. Load Order Viconia.esp should always be last in your load order. Voice Actress Change As already stateed the original voice actress was Grey Delisle (the original voice of Viconia from the Baldur’s Gate series). Since I did not have the money to hire her to voice this I asked Greenwarden to voice her. I am very proud of the new voicing work she has done for this. Unfortunately after an extended illness and other issues she has said she no longer wants to or cannot find the time to complete the voicing process. I am still in the process of either a) trying to convince her to finish the work or b) finding a new voice actress to redo the entire mod. If you are interested sne an email to [email protected] Quest Flow Viconia will talk to you once a day or every 24 hours. This is far better than the way it was done in BGII where it took multiple days between conversations. This is meant to keep the feel of the original game. Refusing Viconia’s Advances In the merged version with Oblivion you had the option to just be a friend with Viconia and not have her as a romance interest. This is no longer the case. I felt that anyone wanting a friend to hang around with should not be downloading this mod for that purpose. There are plenty of stock companions out there with no personality. In further versions I will add the option of just being a friend, which will essentially end her quest and she becomes a stock follower and will refuse any flirts you attempt. Watch Your Quest Logs There are two stages wher you will need to sleep for the quest to go any further. Pay attention. If she talks about being tired or needing to rest, DO IT. Quest Targets I have removed the quest target for Viconia as the AI has improved to the point where she will not get lost. I may or may not readd it. After the Quests Once the romance quest is complete (and during it) you can use her as the standard companion you know and love. The flirts will always be available. Companion Features Leveling Viconia always levels with the player. Spells Viconia comes with two spells, one being a restoration spell that she will auto-cast on herself or you after combat, if needed. The second spell you get in your inventory, at the top, which will summon her if you get separated. She will not lose her inventory if you summon her. Combat AI Her lightning spell from the original mod has been removed. She will not turn invisible any longer. The sheathing and unsheathing of her weapon and combat is fixed. Horses Viconia no longer comes with a horse as it was causing too many problems, It may be re-added in a future version. There are companion mods recommended above that can add this feature to any companion. There are mods to do this for you so I do not see a need to duplicate them. Death Viconia is set to essential, so when she gets knocked out she'll get back up in a few seconds, heal herself, and jump back in combat. If you don’t like this you can change it in the Creation Kit. Following Viconia no longer has the options to follow armed or follow casual. It was causing too many problems and breaking immersion. I may look into redoing this later. Combat Viconia will use any weapon you give to her or leave in her inventory whether it be close combat weapons or ranged weapons. You do not need to tell her to use one or the other. Viconia is not a “tank”. She fights as best she can. Flirting You can flirt with Viconia. The disposition system is not used. The Flirt responses are based upon whether you have won her heart yet or not. There are many flirt options; smile at her, kiss her, etc and they have been expanded for this mod. Dialog Any dialog you see on the screen in parenthesis are not spoken lines. Viconia will respond vocally to all commands. Inventory You have full access to her inventory. You can load up Viconia with inventory and she’ll carry it if you get over-encumbered. She will not get over encumbered. Installation First Time Install 1. Install Skyrim! 2. Known Limitations Any known limitations that do not have a work-a-round will be placed here as they are discovered. Currently there are only a few things which need mentioning. • Viconia may or may not sit next to you. This was a known limitation in Oblivion because not all chairs were persistent references. I have not tested this issue in Skyrim as of yet. • Viconia or any of my companions should always be last in your load order to avoid conflicts or missing meshes. • Although you can summon Viconia into the Dark Brotherhood lair, I recommend against it. As soon as she appears there she will be attacked. • When using Viconia’s dialog, if you click through too fast it may prevent some of her scripts from running and she may ignore the order you just gave her. Let her at least get one or two words out before you cut her off with a mouse click. • DO NOT change the name of the .esp file or any other .esp file for that matter. It will prevent her speech from working. Don’t screw around unless you know what you are doing. If you want to tweak the mod for your own purposes, that is fine but do not release it without our permission. • DO NOT change her race unless you are an advanced CK user. If you find anything else, please let me know so I can try to fix it or add it here. Contact Info Email address for anything related to this mod: [email protected] Please put Viconia in the subject line, otherwise it may get ignored. Please contact me with any bugs or issues you find, so they may be corrected. Please read through this readme file first, so you can be sure that what you are seeing is not normal behavior. If you are submitting an issue, please include as many details as humanly possible. What mods you are using and the load order can be important. Have fun with her. Feel free to let me know what you think of the mod. Suggestions and constructive criticism are welcome. My band Sulteric is on the web at: http://www.sulteric.com Our mascot is…guess who? Thanks This mod began with me wanting to bring back my favorite NPC of all time, Viconia DeVir from the Baldur’s Gate game series simply for my own purposes. I also wanted to introduce the idea of flirting, allowing you to interact romantically with a companion any time you want. This adds life to the companion so that they’re not just a robot. It allows more immersion even when the quests are done. Many thanks are in order here. Thanks to Aoikani, and the Underdark team for putting up with me and lending a lot of help. Thanks to Old Book and Mrs. Old Book and Rav for all of their voicing work. A huge thanks to Greenwarden for her work on voicing Viconia and Lolth. She had the hardest job out of all of us. Thanks to Bioware for Viconia and the Baldur’s Gate game series. A special thanks to ElminsterEU for TES4Edit, without it I couldn’t have accomplished as much as I did. Thanks to everyone in the Viconia threads on Bethesda’s Oblivion forum and on TesNexus that inspired me to keep on keeping on with this. Thanks go to Shavn1985 for Viconia’s original face and AI engine. Thanks to DeepFreeze for all of his help. Thanks to everyone on the CS forum on Bethsoft’s website for answering my stupid questions. Disclaimer This mod has been tested thoroughly and I have gone through great lengths to make sure it shouldn't have any conflicts with any other mods or break the game in any way. Use it and other mods at your own risk because if it screws up your game, quite honestly there isn't a thing I can do about it. I would suggest keeping a unique save prior to using this mod, just in case. None of this can be used or translated without my explicit permission. Permission was granted by the owners of BG2 to port the original mod and likeness. No profit was or will be made from this work but you can feel free to shower me with graft. 8-) Credits Voicing Viconia DeVir - Greenwarden and Grey Delisle AI Engine Bethesda Softworks Writing Sulteric Drums Development Sultericdrums
  9. I'm wondering if I can import my companion Viconia's face and hair into Skyrim. Is this possible or do I have to recreate it (something I have no idea how to do). If not, any volunteers to port them?
