  1. The reason is they cause more trouble than they are worth. While on the surface it looks like a good idea, we have had so many problems with compilations we have just forbidden them here. Getting author permissions is a sore spot - as the actual author no longer gets any real credit (download count, endorsements entry into top lists etc) - That's like your boss saying "I'm not going to pay you for this work, but If anybody asks I will say you did it in the small print that nobody reads." while the boss gets all the income from your work. Then, if there is a bug in just one of your compiled files, or if the author updates it with something new, and if you don't instantly make that change you are vilified. If a player decides they want a mod that is not included, that conflicts with one of the mods in your compilation, The user either must forgo the new mod entirely, or uninstall the entire compilation then reinstall the mods separately. The same if there is a mod they don't want in the compilation. You would end up spending so much time maintaining the compilation that you will eventually just give up and let it flounder - making you the goat to all of the poor users that can't get it to work. :pinch: Now, why would we forbid mods that are compilations of mods here? How about 11 years of experience dealing with mod compilations and the problems they cause. However, listing the mods you use or recommend on the forum - not uploaded as a mod on the mod uploads - just a list, with or without links to those mods and not a compiled bunch of mods is fine. can i just ask what the nexus defines as a compilation (a pack release containing the work of more than 1 author) because strictly speaking every single mod ever made is a compilation even what i suspect the nexus considers a compilation still renders 90% of the work on nexus as a compilation, their mostly retextures patches and reworks but their still compilations.
  2. i would like to ask if a modder could make 2 new types of each arrow material using the vannilla arrow settings as the middle ground. these new arrows would be: armor piercing arrow Sniping Arrow the idea is to make armor piercing arrows to penetrate or ignore more armor then a normal arrow does but not fly as far or as fast as a normal arrow and because of the design a armor piercing arrow doesnt cause much actual harm compared to a normal arrow due to design specifics (lightly or unarmored enemies wouldnt be harmed much more than a normal arrow because the arrow is designed to punch through thick armor more than to kill) the Sniping arrow is designed to fly longer and faster than normal arrows being able to hit further and harder than normal being devestating to unarmored or lightly armored enemies but not as effective as a normal arrow against armored or heavily armored enemies (heavy armor is very good against sniping arrows) thats about the gist of it and hopefully make arrows craftable as well maybe
  3. oh and the vision intended to be used with rcrn or other mods that make nights really really dark but i dont want it to work like the nightvision mods in FONV wi=hich make nights pretty much the same as the day.
  4. hi yall i just wanted to ask if someone could make a mod that adds a new feature to the elves ligthvision for wood and high elves and darkvision for dark elves essentially like nighteye but not the whole screen just 60% of the screen from the center spannign out like the normal night eye effect going from infared/or summin that highlights npc'sthrough to normal nightvision then normal light conditions. darkvision i would like all fo the "sight focus" to be infared or summin that highlights npcs (will prob need custom scripting and texture overlay of some form and additionally i would like to see a mod that makes it so you can see the sheath and the weapon of your offhand weapon when you sheath it (and prefrably some animations to go with it) anyone can take this on but i would prefer if multiple people take it on they post onto here and collaberate to make it faster and better to make and develop. thanks for reading and i hope soemone takes it on oh and make the sight a toggable power rather than a spell fo some form and it would be really nice if using it in the day makes it near impossable to see (like extreme colour contrast or summin) if someone could work something out for that it would be awsome i would suggest focusing on light sources for that summin like make it that fire and light under light/darkvision has triple the light intensity or summin
