  1. I don't use IP any more, but when I did, I do recall it does not come with any scripts, let alone continually updating scripts, so uninstallation should not leave anything behind that will damage your save games. You should probably go into an interior cell without NPCs (any player homes will do) and make a new save prior to uninstallation, as a 'safety measure.' Starting a new game after would probably not be necessary. If you want to be really cautious, you can wait in the interior cell for 10+ days for the worldspace cells to respawn (or however many days you've set the worldspace cells respawn time to, if it's been changed in your game). I've been discovering the problem with dynamic spawn CTDs myself recently. I absolutely love mods like Bandit Raids and Populated Skyrim Civil War as they add a whole bunch of immersion factor (and fun factor to boot), but I just can NOT get them to play nice with my Skyrim install without causing CTDs if I get too close to the action. With mods, without mods, old save, new save, etc. It's frustrating, and in the end I probably am going to drop them from my mod list. All of my other mods work properly together, save these few. Your replies are much appreciated, Ripple! I also have to fanboy a little bit and say that I love your Incon NPC mod. That one works just fine.
  2. Given a basic knowledge of the way NMM works as far as installing / uninstalling mods is concerned, I believe going through your list and hitting "deactivate" on all of your mods would be the best choice. I gather that you've installed some sort of texture replacer mod (as I'm sure we all have at some point!), and several of those types of mods do not have ESPs. If you were to re-install Skyrim, there would be a potential issue with the default textures overwriting your modded ones, effectively disabling them or reverting your changes. Also, anything that may have existed to modify the game files should be cleaned and removed for an actual install of the Steam version. I don't think the messed up DLL files from an illegal copy of Skyrim would play very nice if you were to simply point it at your current install's directory. Just start fresh to avoid a lot of headaches that may cause. I think you're on the right track. Also, kudos for purchasing the game. That's the best thing you could have done for Skyrim and the Nexus.
  3. Hey all, So after playing awhile with Immersive First Person view, and setting a cool profile that loads on my death to drop the timescale to 5%, I can watch myself die in an epic slow motion fall as the blood spatters past the camera. However, if I want to combat in third person view there's no slow motion camera to accompany the death in a similar fashion, combined with Lyn's Death Reload Time. I imagine the script would be pretty light-weight as I think all you would need to do OnDeath is trigger the "sgtm" command, but I haven't written any scripts since the Oblivion CK. Would someone be able to whip this up real quick like? The slow motion in Immersive FP adds a depth to when your character dies, as I've modded the death music to play something more emotional and cinematic. It would be a really cool addition. Thanks for your time!
  4. @Dark0ne & team Sincerely, THANK YOU. I know you guys work hard, and seeing your plan come to fruition as you intended is amazing. I personally have noticed the stability increase. Please keep it up. Your work is appreciated!
  5. Hang in there, Dark0ne! Hopefully you at least enjoyed your holiday. There are some of us that always appreciate the dedication you give to a free service for the rest of us. Please take your time!

  7. Only effective way I can see to get this done is to create your own custom race. I haven't experimented much with the CK, so I'm not sure different it is from Oblivion's CS, but I created my own custom race for a female character in Oblivion. Worked out great. I had custom eyes, hair, skin, even different elf ears only specific to my character, and voice sounds.
  8. Yes yes yes! I was just thinking this tonight. If only I knew how to set stuff to get this thing to function. Marking the player entry in the CK essential doesn't cut it, so there has to be some other way, I think.. I'd love to do it if I knew what direction to take.
  9. Agreed 100%. It all depends on the types of games the gamer chooses to play. It's like watching movies, or listening to music.. your preference is what you want, or what you'll enjoy.
  10. Hey all. So, I noticed that after I installed the Creation Kit, I couldn't advance past checking the ESM files to load the data.. the program would immediately freeze up, and stop responding, and Windows would make me kill it. However, after some trial and error, I managed to troubleshoot the issue, and narrow it down to ENB. Forgive me if someone has already mentioned this, but if you use ENB, you'll need to move your d3d9.dll file to a backup location before you can use the Creation Kit. I managed to narrow it down to the alternate d3d9.dll file that ENB uses to render post processing, etcetera. As far as I can see, it has something to do with the render window. Not sure why, but it does. Simply create a quickie folder in your Skyrim directory, move the DLL file there temporarily while you mod, then just move it back when you want to play Skyrim with ENB's graphical changes. Hopefully this helps some people with a similar issue, saving a couple of minutes of frustration. I thank you for your time.
