  1. Thank you so much BlindJudge for your staff pick of my mod: Dogmeat A True Companion. I never expected so much attention when I made this mod. I started off building the overhaul when I was playing the game with my friends watching me over Steam since they didn't own Fallout 4. They always wondered why I never used Dogmeat and one of my friends brought up fixing it so I did. It's nice to see so many people glad to use him again because every Fallout deserves a good Dogmeat and the default one we got was sadly underwhelming. Thanks for everything!!
  2. @BlahBlah You may be right with the clean save; haven't tried that out yet since all the edits prior carried properly over to the current game. @Vkz Thanks for the further information, I'm going to thoroughly test out the console commands before proceeding any further with editing the actual creation kit to see exactly what is going on. Edit: Found it it was the issue with not having a new save; seemed to working just fine having the SpeedMult despite being a creature; thanks for the help!
  3. Messed with the movement speed for hours, nothing changes no matter how I edit the race or the MT file numbers itself. Even making new files to replace the old and inputting them into the proper race in multiple locations for testing purposes with several sets of drastically changed digits does nothing. If anyone know what could be causing this or how to setup/edit and change creature movement speed for a companion please help me out here because this is slowly driving me mad.
  4. Awesome, looking into this right now; I appreciate the help!
  5. I'm trying to edit a creature right now and I've been using the SpeedMult settings to enhance the speed of movement but it doesn't seem to be doing anything at all. I've been reading that SpeedMult on creatures only changes animations speeds, is this true? If it is true what values do I need to edit to make the animal move faster or if there is no value where is a spell or such that I can add to improve movement speed? Thank you for your help!
  6. I've been trying to move my companion to a new cell for the upcoming quest section and I've been having issues. I've tried the approach of deleting the original and placing a new one in the desired cell and then rebuilding the broken scripts but it's always bugged even once the scripts are fixed. I've also done the same with spawning a second one in, fixing the scripts and then removing the original and the scripts still remain broken and the follower is still stuck with the follow script being broken. Is there a way to do this properly without breaking the companion completely; because moving him would mean a great deal towards the future quest. As it is in the current old cell it's working flawlessly.
  7. Nvm found another topic that covers the issue that I had. Here it is for anyone who needs future reference to the same problem I had. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1968249-geck-companion-help/ Evidently my guide gave me incorrect info when editing topic text.
  8. Already tried that with the default companions but I'll go look through companion mods and find one that seems to be used alot. Thanks for the suggestion!
  9. I've made a custom companion and now I'm finding issues with the Quest topics. Several topics : Wait Here, the entirety of the Tactic topics, part of the Go Home topics, and the inventory topic are overwriting the Topic headers of default Bethesda companions. Only the name of the topics are changed and not the dialogue itself. Does anybody know what might be causing this issue and how to fix them?
  10. I've been working for a while now on my custom Fire Gecko companion and I've got everything working except for his melee. When I put him into melee only mode he only stands there and squeaks/growls at the enemies even if they are attacking him. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? It's the last thing that needs fixing before I can release him to the public.
