  1. Wasn't sure where to ask this, so please feel free to move it if this spot is inappropriate. I'm doing a lot of conflict patching in Tes5edit right now, and have certain plugins hidden so that they're not in the way. But I can't click on Skyrim.esm in the left window where the plugins are listed. If I could somehow hide it as well, it would save a ton of time for me. Anyone know how to hide it from the conflicts window on the right, without having to click on and hide it each time I go to edit a different record?
  2. I use an ENB that does not have a sunsprite, and I wanted to install sunsprite files from another source. Where do I install the sunsprite files, and how do I turn it on using the latest version of ENB? I'm experimenting and trying to do some simple edits to customize a very high performance profile.
  3. I'm trying to gather ingredients, but when I attempt to harvest plants such as blue mountain flower, dragons tongue, or creep cluster as examples, often times the plant will disappear without giving me anything into my inventory. This has happened on multiple characters and on a new game. I've never had this problem before with the same mod list, so I'm scratching my head why this bug is happening recently. If anyone knows of this bug and/or a fix for it, I would be eternally grateful. Thank you in advance.
  4. I have watched the videos and glanced over it but what he tries to do is a little different from how i'm trying to set it up. What I'm trying to do should be more fluid and give pretty close to the feel of the way it's set up in the souls games.
  5. I have seen a lot of interest in bringing some of the Souls games' feel to skyrim and I am one that holds such an interest. I am trying to bring backstabbing into skyrim where when an attack is done to the back of an enemy then a backstab animation is initiated (there should be some animations already in the game that can be used for this) and does critical damage like in the souls games. I believe I can set this up with custom weapons that have a hidden weapon enchantment. I have a few details to hash out though. What variable determines if an attack is on the back of an actor? What variables would be needed in the creation of the enchantment and what exactly is a hidden enchantment? and the big one: How the heck do I write a script to initiate an animation when the enchantment on the weapon activates? Also what I would like to see is if it would be possible to script it to where the enchantment could be applied to weapons dynamically on an event call such as when weapon is equipped or drawn, if this would be too resource heavy or too complex. Would someone please help me out here? I have almost no scripting knowledge. I have a papyrus guide but I only understand about 20% of what I'm reading. Please, help me figure out this enchantment and how to set up a script for it. Any ideas, advice, tips, and pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
  6. sounds like those gloves are missing textures so you are only seeing the mesh. if they are from a mod make sure the mod is installed correctly and that there are no other mods conflicting with it.
  7. My last laptop was a toshiba satellite with i7 processor and gpu drivers, with an nvidia card in it. It ran skyrim like a charm (unmodded though) Maybe think about switching laptops?
  8. Hello ladies and gents, I have a bit of a technical question for ya'll today. I have a massive mod list using Mod Organizer, over 700 mods. Over half of these mods have .esp plugins and/or .bsa files. I have recently begun building a new load order for skyrim. Much to my dismay, my game would crash when booting up the main menu screen (new game, continue, etc) on even a small load order (just 20 plugins) with my core mods that I have used for quite some time in previous setups. Before you ask, this was not due to a missing master file or a load order conflict. I use tools such as LOOT and WBash and know when I need to do some manual tweaking of my load order (i've been doing this for a while). I went through several standard cleaning and troubleshooting steps, which would include but not limited to: refreshing my .ini files, testing mods 1 by 1 to find the ones that would cause my crashing, and uninstalling my entire skyrim setup and installing a fresh new copy of skyrim and skse. When I was testing which mods would cause my game crashing, I really started to scratch my head because it was popular mods that were causing my grief, such as the JK city overhaul series. I used JK Solitude city overhaul for a "hard test" where I loaded the plugin (which has no dependencies on dlc or other mods btw) with the unofficial patches directly into my skyrim data folder to cut anything that the mod software MO could have been potentially causing. I had the same issues. My problematic mods did not start working properly until I downloaded fresh copies of the mods and replaced the corrupted ones. Problem solved. So, my point is that I have several mods that seem to be corrupted, but I have no reliable way of testing which ones are corrupted and which ones aren't. I've tested some mods I knew were broken in TES5edit, and they load fine without throwing up any errors when tes5edit is loading my mod list. My question for ya'll is if there is a way I can test my mods in batches, either with tes5edit or some other software, so that I can figure out which ones I'll need to download fresh?
  9. Apologies, I posted this in the wrong section. Please feel free to remove.
  10. Howdy ya'll, I was wondering if anyone could point me in the correct direction here. I'm only just recently getting a new load order together since I put the game down several months ago as I want to play with some new mods and new character themes, but one thing always bugged me about the game at any point. Animations in general seem to be so blocky and I feel like my character is fixing to fall over just by turning a slight degree to the right or left, and all animation movements when turning, walking, and running seem so jerky. Is there any mod or mod collection that smooths out movement animations to make the character move much more fluidly than the vanilla skyrim? I want if nothing else something to smooth out turning animations when changing the direction my character is facing.
  11. never mind. I did some digging in tes5edit and found out that I can go to playerpackage for a follower I want to change the follow data for, and edit the minimum and maximum values. problem solved.
  12. I'm sick of my follower bumping into me! It's especially bad when i'm trying to aim a bow from horseback and my horse gets turned around, messing my carefully aimed shot, because the follower bumps into the horse (expecially if said follower is on a horse as well). Is there a way to change the distance that a follower stays with you? I want him to not get so close to me.
  13. ah the great outdoors. So many days spent in the summer heat, bit by mosquitoes, playing in the dirt and grass, often times with nothing more than the imagination. Or a snake or two to scare the pants off of mom :P
  14. I have the same thing. Just cured the purple dragon priest thing and now this. It's those dragon priests. Next time I kill one, I'mm going to really savor it. If anyone has an idea on how to fix this, I'd appreciate it. If I find one, I'll post it here. was just coming to post about this very issue actually. http://i.imgur.com/oiml9Er.png getting on my nerves, but yeah it does look like dragon priest bonemeal. For the record, I've done everything I can think of at this point. I would greatly appreciate some help from the modding community, as I have tried running the .bat cureall and I could not find anything from my mod list that could cause this. I've even tried some extensive troubleshooting by disabling any sort of mod that would add custom effects and spells to the game, and I'm still stuck with the bug. No dice.
  15. EDIT: Nevermind I just redid the content that I was playin in when I got the bug.
