  1. I know how to do this already as I have more than 23+ games on another drive from steam and 1 game on my main C: drive (Skyrim) and other games on another drive. This doesn't really solve anything I tried out my theory and it works. If I install Fallout on my C: drive where my steam is installed, there is no problems But if I install it on my D: drive where I have other steam games installed, but not steam itself (created another library using steam) it does not work... I don't know why this is but Fallout will just not work right if installed to another drive than where Steam is installed.
  2. I just wanted to get back into fallout after seeing the new Fallout 4 trailer (0____0) and recently got a new SSD with more space than my C: drive where Windows is installed. I installed it on there and all was well until I tried to start it. When I try and start it from the FalloutNV.exe or launcher, I get that pesty Application load error (yes my game is valid so no it's not pirated). The only way for me to start the game is with NVSE or just to start it from steam itself. Also mods in general just are not working for me. I have Nexus Mod Manager installed on my C: drive and all mods stored in a different location, but I don't think this should be a problem. I have literally searched almost every single forum on this issue and tried everything, from running NMM in administrator, verifying game cache files, making a symbolic link, copying steam.exe to the install folder, totally deleting the game and redownloading...literally all the solutions and none of this works. Which makes me think if you do not install Fallout to the C: drive it just won't function properly. This also happens with Fallout 3, but not Skyrim by the way
  3. Thanks for the input fraquar. I think I'm just going to do it all on the SSD I upgrade my equipment anyway before its lifespan ever even comes close to dying purely because of how fast technology evolves
  4. Wow I didn't expect to get this many answers! Thank you for all the input guys. Great to talk with all the modders of Skyrim out there and listen to user experiences
  5. Yes I mean the manager, as it places copies of the mods I believe in its created games folder in the C: directory. So I'll install it on the HDD. Just got this new SSD and not trying to mess it up already Thanks for the help
  6. Cool, so install Nexus Mods on the HDD? How should I go about copying onto the SSD? Apologize if any of these questions are stupid lol
  7. Not really sure what you mean by this. Do you mean install Nexus Mods on the HDD, download all the mods I want, test it out on Skyrim then move that all back to the SSD? If so that sounds a bit too complicated. I usually read thoroughly through all the mods I will download and be using as I usually don't delete them once I use them. That being said, should I just do this on the SSD?
  8. Title says it all. I have Skyrim installed on my SSD and the rest of my Steam games installed on another HDD. Should I have Nexus Mods on the SSD for best optimization or can I have it on my HDD? I want to also mod other games and they will most likely be on my HDD so should I put it on the HDD? Any advice on this would be appreciated. Thanks guys
  9. I have a copy of it. Am I allowed to just upload it on something like MediaFire and post a link here?
  10. I actually have Convenient Horses and I can call my horse with a whistle that I had to learn and I gave them more stamina. I'll check that one at too though, thanks I actually like that idea and will try it out!
  11. So how do you guys get around Skyrim? Do you fast travel or walk the plains? I stopped fast travelling since a few hours into the game because it ruins the immersion for me. I have a lot of immersion mods, like Frostfall and Realistic Needs & Diseases, so I like finding a way to keep warm during snowstorms, collecting firewood to build a fire, camping, etc. It makes managing your stuff a lot more difficult too. It's more time consuming but you get to explore a lot more and see the beauty of Skyrim and stuff (especially with ENBs). And my horse is my only companion. However if I need to get allll the way directly across the map...I will use a carriage. What about you guys?
