  1. From Chesko on Reddit "I have also requested that the pages for Art of the Catch and Arissa be completely taken down. Valve's stance is that they "cannot" completely remove an item from the Workshop if it is for sale, only allow it to be marked as unpurchaseable. I feel like I have been left to twist in the wind by Valve and Bethesda." "I was just contacted by Valve's lawyer. He stated that they will not remove the content unless "legally compelled to do so", and that they will make the file visible only to currently paid users. I am beside myself with anger right now as they try to tell me what I can do with my own content. The copyright situation with Art of the Catch is shades of grey, but in Arissa 2.0's case, it's black and white; that's 100% mine and Griefmyst's work, and I should be able to dictate its distribution if I so choose. Unbelievable." ,, So it begins. Can't say I am that surprised. Just a little. At least I though the modders could dictate the use of their own content. Apparently not.
  2. 25%? Well if the modders will scramble to the table of Valve and Bethesda hoping for scraps to fall on the floor, their choice. But I will not support them with pittance when it is really Valve and Bethesda who profits from this. Given what modders get and what this is doing to the community, it is all just a sad farce with both modders and gamers loosing. The winners are Valve and Bethesda. Since I am sure there are people of delicate age here, I will not say what these companies can do with their greed. The modders who jumped on this wagon must take some of the blame. You should have had more foresight and not whine on your Facebook profile over the harsh reactions you get. You are in fact supporting Valve in this. What did you expect? Roses and a red carpet?
