  1. should be in requests. Anyways, there's lots of comments about this on the mod's page. I think its supposed to be the grudge. It creeps me out too. I still use the house, but I never open the bathroom door and I don't even really like walking back by it. would be nice to have it changed. maybe the version the author is working on will include an option to turn it off.
  2. edit: I think I fixed it. I think its because of my cards low amount of vram and not having room to load the textures properly or something. Turning the texture settings in the game's launcher from high to low seems to have maybe cleared the problem up. Looks like crap, but at least I can play  The weird thing is with Skyrim I loaded it up with SOO much more graphical and texture mods than this game and while I did get this problem, it happened only like once every 200 hours of gameplay. I guess even though they're on the same engine, this game handles textures differently or something. So as I've been playing, it happens extremely randomly.. I've gone over an hour before it happens and other times I've barely gotten through a couple minutes. My character's body will turn completely black OR the lighting on her skin will look like its practically reversed and just be extremely off. Sometimes just parts of her outfits turn black or really dark instead. Her face and hands are rarely ever effected. Its just her body mesh. I'm using Mojave Delight, the Mojave Delight better hairs and the other addon mod for it, the spiritual eyes with the eyelashes, and a type3 body mesh - I've tried multiple ones. So of course, the first thing to assume is texture mods for the skin and mesh mods. Well I've tried it without the two and its still happening. So I though tmaybe a visual mod since it seems like it might be related to lighting. For those I have Interior Lighting Overhaul and FNV Realistic Wasteland Lighting. Turning both of those off hasn't made the issue go away. I also turned off the NMC texture pack I had. Also using Dynamo ENB. It was made for the version something- 46 DLL and I'm using 49. If anyone knows of a way to get an older version let me know since that'd probably do better. I was getting some weird issues with this ENB earlier, but they seem to be gone now. When turning the ENB off, the issue I'm speaking of in this thread doesn't go away so I assume it isn't being caused by this but do say so if you think otherwise. I can list my other mods if needed. They're mostly things for the interface, a few things related to combat and mechanics, and different outfits that I haven't really touched on. (This problem happens with the vanilla mesh/ skin textures and when using vanilla outfits) My in-game graphic settings are at medium. The game wasn't running too hot before - hiccups due to my lack of vram, but since uninstalling the texture pack its running much much better and quite smooth. Specs: i5 3450, 7770, 8gb ram And as for stability, the game has been running good without crashes. Anyone have any idea what's going on? This issue is really ruining the game for me.
  3. I posted a comment on the mod asking, but I'm not really expecting a reply so maybe someone from the forums will know. There's this mod right here: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/38093/? And it gives a pretty large amount of options for body styles. Does anyone know which body style was used for this character? http://static-1.nexusmods.com/15/mods/130/images/38093-1-1291357600.png edit: resolved okay, so the actual mesh is tied to the outfit its this outfit http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35419/? and after some testing, it seems to be the slim dimonized mesh.
  4. Be a little more specific. What kind of artstyle are you into? Specs wouldn't hurt either as well as FPS desired. I've played with a handful of ENBs on a weak system (when compared to the average PC gamer's setup), but if your system is even weaker then they probably won't work for you.
  5. Lure Saadia and then kill them both  I did that since the Alik'r guy has some extra gold on him and the scimitar. I planned to kill Saadia for one main reason: It annoyed me that every single time I sat down in the inn she'd come up and start a conversation with me trying to get me to buy a drink. After she dies, she's not there to do that anymore :D Who I really think is telling the truth? I dunno'. Leaning towards the Alik'r guys.
  6. Someone already mentioned resolution. I'll go ahead and be specific since you sound new to all of this. Your resolution must of reset to default and is lower than what your monitor is made to do. A virus typically isn't going to do something like this. First find out what your native resolution is. Just right click your desktop (the place with the wallpaper..) and select "screen resolution" You should see some numbers in your resolution section such as "1280x720", "1028x768", etc. These are just a couple of examples and don't need to match yours. Don't change anything here. Chances are your PC resolution is fine. The word "Recommended" should be in parenthesis by the resolution intended to be used with your monitor. Anyways, once you see what the numbers are close out of this. Now open up your Skyrim launcher. Just start the game and let the box with all the options appear. Now press the "options" button. Go into that and in there you should see "resolution". Click that and pick the numbers that appeared earlier from your PC resolution settings.
  7. I don't really like the way the stomach and shoulderblades look in UNP. I'm picky. I like the overall look of CBBE most. Its a very flexible body due to bodyslide 2 and doesn't have to look as exaggerated as it is by default. You can shape it however you want. Plus Outfit Studio can help you to convert outfits for it. Oh and someone mentioned seams. It also has texblend which can easily get rid of neck seams for any face mods out there (or skin textures) Plus BS2's advanced TBBP body works good with Groov's extended XP32 skele for using things like HDT physics and the extended ECE sliders for editing body shapes in game somewhat too.
  8. I'm sorry but these two things don't really mix..
  9. I never tried the build your own home mod.. or hearthfire for that matter, but I'll give them all a shot sometime. I think another build your own home mod was released somewhere around here. Found it - I think this is it: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49892/? No idea how it compares to the original one you linked or Hearthfire.
  10. I agree vanilla could use a lot of improvements. But I also find vanilla a mediocre game at best and wouldn't ever play it TBH. I think a lot of what you want is possible through mods.
  11. Nice shot. I'll post any I pull off today. The first time I played I never even used archery, but I've been using it a lot this time around and its a lot of fun. I use a gravity ini tweak and proper aiming mod + locational damage from deadly combat. And nothings as satisfying as getting 1 hit kill sniping headshots while stealth from afar  on the topic of scopes though, I'm looking forward to trying those sighted bows out that are intended to be used without a crosshair.
  12. according to his video descriptions he uses like 5 mods that aren't very taxing. and that won't hit fps near as much as like 50 that include a lot of demanding mods  I'm sure if you loaded your game up a ton, you'd drop frames. so it depends on how far you want to go. if you're an absolute perfectionist that wants the best video game graphics possible aaaand a stable 60 fps, then you're probably going to need a super high end setup. if you just want real nice visuals with good performance then the cards you're interested in should do the job quite well. also, grass is so awesome. if you change your mind on it, I highly recommend Grass on Steroids. Not only does it look great, but it runs leagues better than any other grass mod I've tried and makes it possible to actually play with dense grass.
  13. Better things will always come. Its just a matter of when you want them. If the new series of cards isn't that far away then you might as well just wait since you want the best and desire a constant good fps.. but if you think you can get all you want out of these cards then go for it. They probably will do the job for 60 FPS with ultra settings and a high-perf ENB. Add in 4k textures to every single thing in Skyrim, static mesh improvements, lighting changes, all kinds of view distance mods like high quality lods and increasing your draw distance, parallex, mods that add loads of new things to the game like floral and trees and town changes, a grass mod set to be ultra dense.. then you're probably not gonna' be staying at 60. But I could be wrong as I haven't used any of these cards and have no idea what they're capable of :) But should I be right, then it depends on just how far you want to go with visuals. You could always get two ;)
  14. I think its been done before. Doesn't hurt to use Google you know. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23977/? Someone's video says it adds the temples and I'm sure it includes the towns too.
  15. no, definitely not. with that said, a lot of mods do have DLC versions so I recommend going through your mod list to their mod pages and re-downloading and re-installing any that do have DLC versions or options in their installers. but having the DLC won't break all your mods that you don't do this for. you aren't going to need some patch for the DLC just because you made the mudcrabs curse, etc. :)
