  1. Can someone help a new modder out? I'm trying to add new dialogue to a NPC using the MaleBrute voice. However, I can't find a way to view all the lines that is voiced in that voice type. I want to see all the lines spoken by that voice actor so I can choose the appropriate response to the question in the quest I'm working on. How do I do this using the Creation Kit? :whistling:
  2. It's not what I thought, then. I thought you had the regular "fine until combat" lag that happens all to much with Skyrim. Has you tried enabling Papyrus logs and looking at their contents? One of your mods may be hanging and causing issues for a while before the game resolves it and you can continue playing. I'm not at my home computer right now, so I can't give you a link or anything, but try google searching "enable Papyrus logs", follow the instructions, run the game and have the issues happen while the Papyrus logs are enabled (until the hang, during the hang, and for maybe a real life minute or two after the hang) and then shut the game down and take a look at the log to see if there are any recurring errors. Additionally, what are your system specs? I'm not knowledgeable about computer parts but if someone else comes along and sees this thread they may have an answer for you. I know that you said this is about mods, but I know that my card can't handle certain graphical things (usually lights and shadows) that are caused by mods, such as a mod adding lights from a house window or making a street lamp cast a different shadow.
  3. Try uninstalling your current version of NMM, and reinstalling again from the download page. I can't update NMM like that either, it just doesn't work. As long as you keep your C: -> Games -> Nexus Mod Manager -> Skyrim -> Mods folder, you shouldn't have to redownload every mod you have. In fact, I may be wrong about this, but if you keep the entire folder structure you may not have to uninstall and reinstall your mods via NMM at all. Unless you load up your save game without any mods in and save, I don't think your saves will be affected. But try it and let us know if it works or not. It'd be good information.
  4. It really depends on your computer. I use Hi Algo boost to help speed up my game a lot with the mods I have, maybe try that before you start deleting things if you don't already have it?
  5. I'm not sure if I am allowed to link to things off-site, mods <snip> me if you must. Here is the Google Code page for TESVSnip. It is called TESVSnip Dev 4-4-0-1a... I am not sure if this is what you are looking for. I may be wrong, but my [small] knowledge of TESVSnip is that it's an old tool that outdates the Creation Kit. If they've hidden it on the Nexus it might mean that something else has replaced it?
  6. I mostly meant that comment in terms to "scripted" mods (I probably should have said so :hurr:). I guess it would be fine is someone just had some custom skin/hair, but Helgen is entirely scripted and doesn't actually exist in game (well, the non-destroyed version, anyways). :ohdear: In fact, I've only experienced things like what I posted above after I did install scripted mods. Truthfully, I think different collections of mods should be treated differently, but there is no way of knowing what one person doesn't or does have so I tend to just say "disable mods for Helgen".
  7. You sound devoted, which is magnificent. http://25.media.tumblr.com/8dd34ca3741a8bc6bc78e012d2467cd1/tumblr_mhhpw0074B1s29y53o1_250.gif If you really want to spend the time to cater to both ENB and non-ENB users, this is what you should do. Most people only cater to one or the other though... just expect a few people to be unhappy. There is always someone who is unhappy, even if their argument is "needs moar cowbell".
  8. KUDOS FOR FIXING YOUR OWN ISSUES, YOU LOVELY PERSON. HERE, I'M SENDING YOU MENTAL HUGS. ...No, that wasn't sarcasm. Good job. If only more people were like you.
  9. NEEDS MOAR INFO. What mod? Like your own mod, just for changing NPC gear? Or in someone else's mod? I'm pretty sure that most mods don't change the master file, or you'd never be able to get rid of them. They just load after and overwrite them. And what do you mean problems? Copyright problems? Ettiquette problems? Ponys stabbing people with narwhal horns problems? Or random CTD and floating NPC heads in Whiterun type problems? Less is moar, so it's not a chore
  10. Are you still in Helgen? Don't use mods while in the Helgen intro. Just don't. I've had everything from random CTDs, to standing in the middle of the road unable to move, to things like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9JjmZq11d8 Also, don't install EVERY MOD ON THE NEXUS at once. It'll destabilize your game and you might wind up having to reinstall the entire thing from scratch (learned this the hard way). If I'm installing multiple mods at once I choose them by type, say "custom armours" and "random scripted mods". I'll install like 1 or 2 of each at a time, open up my save game, sit there for about a minute to let the game do it's thing, hit T and wait one hour, then save my game and install anything else in same size groupings... but maybe I'm just being paranoid. BOSS sorts your mods so they (hopefully) won't clash with each other. Try running BOSS and seeing if that fixes your problem before you uninstall anything. It might just be a load order conflict and will save you a load of trouble.
  11. Sexy Whiterun is my favourite... there's an entire set for every main city that makes them more colourful, like Sheogorath barfed rainbows all over everything.
  12. This guy has it right! People will complain if they have to discard their ENB for a certain dungeon because it's already too bright/dark. Just focus on making your mod and other hocus-pocus.
  13. Thanks, I didn't know that, I won't do it anymore... and thank you for answering my question. Kudos for you! http://media.tumblr.com/dc87463a4e6c81579d1cf20ec230e2d9/tumblr_inline_mfwf67kMzY1rqli3p.gif
  14. No, it doesn't seem to exist, and the way you worded it made is sound very much like another conceited, unthinking "omg give me this" comment on a front-page gracing mod. Modders do not make mods to be your slave, your towel that you floss with after a shower, or a donkey you can ride into battle in your uber thong. If you don't want to ask nicely, make it yourself or mix and match with another mod.
