  2. I have a feeling this will come out in a similar time to skywind. This project is smaller and at a faster pace but much further behind, but who knows! all we can do is sit and drool over the videos
  3. Better Cites: Skyrim By: BERZIN Alright. I have only one problem with the mods available for Skyrim so far, and that is that there are plenty of mods that overhaul the cities but none to the degree of my favorite mod of all time; Better Cities (http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/16513/?) which was a compilation of mods that overhauled every city to the best that it could possibly me modded. It was perfect. It added many new shops and even new districts to every city. It added flora new npc's, new quests and it changed every city to be unique and perfect. It was exactly how those cities should have been in the first place. I have looked and looked and there has been mods that only do small parts of what i would like them to do like Skyrim market district which added some stalls on the ramp up to the main gate but all it was was a couple of stalls. So after many hours of searching for a perfect mod for each city i have given up and i think i will attempt to mod Skyrim for myself. It would be a very difficult and a lot of hard work but i think i have to the ideas to make it work. I am fairly new to modding but i will try and make this work. This mod is going to end up being a massive amount of work and any help would be massively appreciated even if it is just an idea of a building or where a shop could go just email me at [email protected]. These are my ideas and goals to accomplish with this mod: RIFTEN: - Expand the city all around the lake and make it roughly 3 times larger than the original - Make the city have all the necessary needs for a city as large as its supposed to be - keep up with the thiefs guild theme and add sneaky ways to get around the city and ways to rob each shop and house - expand upon ratway and make it into a way to navigate the city when you have a bounty - Add Vegetation - Optimize for good frame rate - New models and textures - New NPC's and quests - New player house to purchase WHITERUN: -Expand the city into the plains surrounding the city and make it roughly 2x as large as the original. -Make it into the biggest trading city its supposed to be with warehouses and lots and lots of shops -Focus more on the fact that Whiterun is supposed to be the city that raises the best horses with large fields of horses and horse breeders - Add vegetation and new clutter - Add new characters and quests - New models and textures - Add more NPC's to give the appearance of a bustling city. - Add dogs - Many new residences and shops - New larger player house to purchase SOLITUDE: - Focus mainly into turning it from the large city with no one in it to a large city with lots of people - Add lower rent district and lots more NPC's and quests - Add more of a military base with lots more soldiers - Expand Largely on the harbor and turn it into the trading capital of skyrim - Make roughly 1.5 times as large as before - Add flora and clutter for more interest - New player house to buy MARKARTH: - Expand the number of buildings in the city by making custom mountain textures and meshes to build onto the mountains - Make it roughly 2 times as large but not expanding the actually city area just the content inside - Add more interest with vegetation and maybe more waterfalls - Add more NPC's and quests - Expand upon the mines and the area that the poor live and make them actually important - Add many new shops and areas to explore - Player house near the top of the city - Make the outside of the city interesting with a large market outside with houses and shops and stalls WINDHELM: - Expand the city along the river to both sides - Make new districts and make the city roughly 3 times as large - Make it more interesting with vegetation and clutter - Add a custom military base with a fortress and the like - Make the grey quarter actually seem like its run down and neglected - Add new NPC's and quests - Make the grey quarter have a second level with new houses and walkways - New playerhome available in the new district OTHER TOWNS: Falkreath: - Add a wall around the town and more shops and homes Morthal: - Expand into the swamp around it Winterhold: - Rebuild the houses that were destroyed but leave some - Add more destroyed houses
