Thanks, that's actually not a bad idea. I actually wound up talking to one of the other modders here who actually did do what I plan on, though he also did it to like every other unique armor in the game (considering doing something similar myself). He helped me see where I was messing up and I was able to fix it. It's actually even simpler than the fix you mentioned. Now I need to just progress thru the story on this character so I can test it out. ^_^ Unfortunately I had to wipe my computer about a month ago and the lvl 70 save who was in the middle of the Dragonborn quests got corrupted so I can't use her. Go figure lol.

I'm trying to make it where the shrouded armor you get in game is as strong as dragonscale, unenchanted, and able to benefit from smithing perks so it can be improved to legendary. I was able to make it unenchanted and as strong as dragonscale, but i still can't improve it past flawless without smithing enchants. how do i fix this? I've tried the creation kit tutorial and google and I can't find any articles to help. I plan on doing the same to the nightingale and guild master armor as well.
