  1. UPDATE again. It actually doesn't work, armoraddon shows as edited, but when I open it back, my custom race is back to be highlighted. so I'm due to recreate them all, huh?
  2. The nif is called dwecontainer02. but the texture are multiple. Extract the nif and open it in nifscope textures\dungeons\dwemerruins\DweStoneBorders03.dds textures\dungeons\dwemerruins\DweStoneFloor04.dds textures\dungeons\dwemerruins\DweStoneFloor02.dds textures\actors\dwarvenspherecenturion\DwarvenSphereCenturion.dds
  3. Greetings dear modders, So making a new custom race mod to use a custom bodyslide UNP slider + preset I made. the goal being able for players to be unique in their kind without having NPCs sharing same body. It has additional features as well which makes the use of a custom race quite fancy. But I'm not here to promote my futur mod, as I am facing a weird issue in Creation Kit when assigning my armor addons to that custom race. On some vanilla armor addon I can't remove my custom race which was created using that step by step Creating a custom race - the right way + some other related tutorials. Race is working fine. Most of the vanilla armor addon I can remove my custom race. If I make a duplicate of that armor addon and try to remove my custom race, I can't. I can remove any other race. I read somewhere that I'd need to make my race have "none" in race properties > General tab > Armor Race Then I would need to create an armor addon for every single piece of wearable even the one not needed like head. and it is already a tedious work if I can avoid that... So here I come, looking for help from more experienced modders. Thanks for reading. Elmanouche

Kudos given to you, for creating and sharing your magnificent mods and for your awesome imagery & narratives that you post on imageshare.
  5. Hello, Before posting this issue, I've, of course, done multiple searches on the forum and google. Here's my problem. I'm converting armours to fit my body mesh and for some reason 2 of them have a bug : The visible skin appear in black in CK and in-game. cuirasslight_1.nif http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/2928/lightblack.png cuirassheavychieftain_1.nif http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/9506/chieftainblack.png Mesh in black In this archive there is 4 .nif cuirasslight_0.nif > works fine cuirasslight_1.nif > black body cuirassheavychieftain_0.nif > works fine cuirassheavychieftain_1.nif > black body cuirasslight_0 and cuirasslight_1 are exactly the same in nifscope, same goes for heavychieftain 0 & 1. In game the black appear only when at maximum weight, which is obvious since it uses the _1.nif. Reducing the weight by one tick the body shows fine, since it uses a morphed _0.nif. Which also means that my vertices are exactly the same. I've been trying MANY ways of import/export, recreating the partitions same as vanilla, flipping faces and so on and more, with no result. Tools used : Blender 2.49b NifScript for blender 2.5.08 NifScope 1.1.0 RC6 with last xml from throttlekity but it does same with nifscope 1.1.0 RC1 SO I'm asking for help, maybe someone will see what I haven't. Thanks in advance Elmanouche
  6. Oh, I should add, it is a mesh I did with Blender, then exported it, made it skyrim "workable" but missing a skin partition. So I open it in 3ds Max, modify the BSDismember modifier to recreate the partitions as it should be, then export. I don't apply any "Edit poly" modifier. My mesh show is skyrim, but is mainly black as it misses a skin partition. The weight works too, so my _0 and _1 mesh have exactly the same vertex number, etc, etc... EDIT : well, I found my own solution with Blender. Played with Vertex groups and got my result. Thanks for fast answer though.
  7. Hello fellow modders, I am running into a weird issue with 3ds max. I have a _0 and a _1 mesh with exactly the same vertices count before export : http://img851.imageshack.us/img851/3105/1728vertices.png But after export I get this in NifScope (RC1) http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/4937/diffvertices.png On both pics _0 is left and _1 is right... And it is a 1stpersonfemalebody mesh. Here are my export settings : http://img826.imageshack.us/img826/2104/exportk.png Am I doing something wrong ? Thanks for your help. And for info I'm using max for 1st person view as Blender mess up the BSDismemberSkinInstance on export(export as fallout 3 .nif, since no updated nifscript for Blender), while 3ds Max seems more capable, I'm just a noob on Max... >.< Elmanouche
