  1. Fortunately my game is not yet crashing (though I had to play from older saved game, my latest 3-4 saves are crashing after 1 minute in game), but my log file is spammed with these warnings: [10/23/2012 - 09:53:11PM] warning: (00061D42): currently does not have 3d and cannot register for animation callbacks. Returni. stack: [ (00061D42)].TrapDweThresher.WaitForAnimationEvent() - "<native>" Line ? Returni. stack: [ (0007C263)].TrapDweThresher.WaitForAnimationEvent() - "<native>" Line ? What does it mean and how can I fix it?
  2. On second thought, it's not working very good... after the 1.6 patch my game is very unstable on high texture settings, can't play 10 minutes without crashing. On medium textures the game runs pretty good, a lot less crashes. I guess I'm playing with medium textures at least until the next patch is released :/
  3. Interesting... clean reinstall of the game, no mods, only Bethesda's HD pack and the game crashes with the lvlpredatorscript error. removed the HD pack and the game seems to run properly (on a new game of course)
  4. I decided that I'm doing a clean reinstall and starting a new game. removed all mods, deleted the skyrim folder and redownloading it. It seems to be the only way for me to fix these crashes
  5. 10x carry weight iHUD 1.6 beta Deadly dragons Claralux Quick start Unofficial skyrim patch (1.05 beta) Daedric artifacts overlord The Paarthurnax Dilemma Some of these are not connected to the errors in the log, but I removed them just to be sure that they are not the cause for the crashes I tried starting a new game, and it crashes a split second after the loading finishes
  6. I don't see any mod where the load order is FF. And yes I did install/uninstall quite a few mods. I tried removing a few mods that the log said had errors, and reordering the rest with BOSS, and after uninstalling iHUD the FF errors gone away and the new log is as follows, but the game still crashes [06/17/2012 - 02:42:59PM] Papyrus log opened (PC) [06/17/2012 - 02:42:59PM] Update budget: 1.200000ms (Extra tasklet budget: 1.200000ms, Load screen budget: 500.000000ms) [06/17/2012 - 02:42:59PM] Memory page: 128 (min) 512 (max) 76800 (max total) [06/17/2012 - 02:43:04PM] Cannot open store for class "DA07MehrunesRazorMagicEffectScriptOver", missing file? [06/17/2012 - 02:43:07PM] error: Unable to bind script OghmaInfiniumScriptOver to (00032795) because their base types do not match I'm afraid even to think about needing to start a new game as I have 4 different characters which are quite advanced, all of them crash the game EDIT Removed another mod and all the problems seem to be gone, but the game still crashes [06/17/2012 - 02:56:53PM] Papyrus log opened (PC) [06/17/2012 - 02:56:53PM] Update budget: 1.200000ms (Extra tasklet budget: 1.200000ms, Load screen budget: 500.000000ms) [06/17/2012 - 02:56:53PM] Memory page: 128 (min) 512 (max) 76800 (max total) [06/17/2012 - 02:57:01PM] VM is freezing... 7. Can you help me parse my log? The game crashes for me only when textures set to high with this log: and when the textures set to medium (no crash, quit game with qqq console command):
  8. Ok I pin-pointed the crash source to the texture quality settings. When I set it to HIGH the game crashes, low or medium and the game works perfectly. The weird thing is that I played the game until now with this settings set to high, so what happened???
  9. The CTDs started after the update, and it seems that they happen only on outdoors. heck even on new game not a minute after I start it (or with the quickstart mod, when I exit from the dungeon) It's probably mod conflict of some sort, but I can't confirm that any of my mods cause this, I wasted the last 12 hours enabling and disabling mods trying to find the one mod that breaks my game... Here is the log after the crash on the new game: And here is the list of mods I currently have active: http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/5624/24969288.png Anyone has any idea what could be wrong?
  10. I'm following the guide in the Creation Kit wiki to add Papyrus support to Notepad++ and I'm stuck at the syntax highlighting. The wiki says to save the file as XML and import it in the 'User Defined Language' dialog, but when I try to import the file I get a message saying "failed to import" I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, I'm following the wiki exactly as it says :/ I tried the other syntax highlighting files provided in the wiki, and both of them fails to import. Tried running Notepad++ as admin, but again fails to import EDIT Saved the XML with UTF-8 without BOM encoding and it worked, the file imported successfully...
  11. Wrong. It takes about 30 seconds to look up the relevant help topic on Steam Support. How to install from Disc instead of Steam So it is possible to avoid the lengthy download process. That said, Steam is still required for activation, but once the game is activated, you can switch the Steam Client to offline mode (you can even block it with your firewall). But you cannot run a legal copy without running Steam. However, you can run it without allowing Steam to access the Internet. I guess I didn't clarify myself. You are correct, it is not required to download the game, I never said that. All I did say is that it is installed through Steam (as the installer is not the normal install window that we all know from Windows, but it is Steam that does all the work)
  12. I believe not. I bought Skyrim as retail disk, and it still installed through Steam
  13. Hmm.. Steam reports 125 hours, but it's at least double than that. most of it I played offline
  14. Thanks for the reply, I'll check those mods out. And I'm surely enjoying DA as is, but a few mods can make a great game even better :D
  15. What mods are you guys consider as a must have mods? as I'm kinda lost in the thousands of mods available :P
