  1. Is it possible to make it so the map button on the controller or keyboard also closes the map instead of bringing up the "Explain Controls" menu?
  2. Not sure if this is the right section. Either way, I really want to play Skyrim VR in third person but Bethesda has removed the ability to change camera perspectives. I'm assuming it will be a simple job to get third person working again. Thanks!
  3. What I'm imagining is that whatever character doesn't get stuck in the fade actually becomes a full party member; either Hawke or one of the three Wardens. Is that something modding can do, or possibly do in the future?
  4. Yeah I would love this mod as a Rogue, especially for enemies that like to swing their weapons in random directions making it really hard to get close to them.
  5. Is this at all possible? It's ridiculous that the game doesn't have an option to hide the mouse cursor when playing with a controller.
  6. With Dragonborn less than a week away, I'm starting to get excited about the mods that will be coming out. I'm always impressed with the mods that the community makes and new expansions bring new assets and other things that were not possible before. So when Dragonborn finally comes out, I'm hoping that somebody would figure out how to make flying dragons controllable, and let the player become a Werebear. What other cool mods could become possible with Dragonborn?
  7. Anybody here more excited about the mods that are going to come out using the Dragonbron assets than the actual DLC itself? I'm hoping we will soon have rideable dragons (that we can actually control), real spears, able to be a werebear and new locations and homes that look like Morrowind.
  8. Jaggy edges eh? Doesn't seem like I'm missing much. My current computer runs Oblivion with the minimum settings and gets 15 FPS. As long as the Skyrim would look decent and get a playble FPS I'll be happy
  9. Thanks for the advice guys. My main goal is to get a decent notebook that can play Skyrim. Getting a free 360 is just a really nice bonus. The g6s was the only computer I was able to find that can come with the non standard onboard video. I'm limited to HP, Dell or computer bought at Best Buy or the Microsoft's website. The CPU can be upgraded. The options are 2nd generation Intel® Core i3-2310M Processor (2.1 GHz, 3MB L3 Cache) Included in price 2nd generation Intel® Dual Core i5-2410M (2.3 GHz, 3MB L3 Cache) with Turbo Boost up to 2.9GHz +$75.00 2nd generation Intel® Dual Core i5-2520M (2.5GHz, 3MB L3 Cache) with Turbo Boost up to 3.2 GHz +$175.00 2nd generation Intel® Dual Core i7-2620M (2.7GHz, 4MB L3 Cache) with Turbo Boost up to 3.4 GHz +$275.00 I don't have a clue what AA is. My computers have never been able to support it so I always left it off.
  10. I think the CPU can be upgraded to 3. How big of a problem would the GFX card be? Most of the laptops I'm finding come with the Intel HD onboard crap.
  11. I'm not really a desktop guy anymore and just want to have one computer that I can do everything on. I also want to buy one in the near future so I can get a free 360 with it. One I'm considering is the HP g6s Processor 2nd generation Intel® Core i3-2310M Processor (2.1 GHz, 3MB L3 Cache) Graphics card 1GB DDR3 Radeon HD 6470M Graphics [HDMI, VGA] Memory 6GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm) $699, just enough to get the Xbox. I don't care about playing on high. Just want the game to look decent and get a playable FPS.
  12. Sigh, PyFFI didn't help at all. I tried three mods that replace the glass cuirass and each of them dropped my FPS when that piece was equipped. I ran PyFFI on all, no effect. It's weird how the replacement armor is actually less complex than the original and yet it causes a massive performance drop.
  13. I'm running a (now it's a) low end laptop, dual-core 2 Ghz, 2 gigs ram, Radeon X1200 (Memory Size 384 MB, Core Clock in MHz 400 MHz, Memory Clock in MHz 200 MHz) In game I'm getting ~15 FPS when running around at low settings at 640 X 480. It ain't pretty but it's playable. The issue is that many of the armor replacer mods cause my FPS to crash to basically 1 or 2 in the over-world when a certain piece of armor is equipped. In the menu screen with a naked character I can get 30 FPS but when I put on an offending piece of gear, everything just crawls. It's not every piece of custom armor, it almost seems random which ones cause the trouble. Is there anything I can do to improve performance with equipment that lowers my FPS?
