  1. These aren't necessarily requests... I just had some particularly interesting (to me, anyway) ideas for mods. I have no modding experience and don't really care to learn. I've got enough issues with Skyrim--trying to build something in it sounds beyond painful. so feel free to use these should you find anything that strikes your fancy! 1) Different atronachs or elemental master wizards turn into bugs when they die. Examples: Spriggans burst into torchbugs upon death. Cryomancers burst into blue butterflies. Necromancers burst into baby spiders. I thought it was a neat idea, even if only for a specific boss or something. Not sure how difficult that would be to do, but I've seen hoards of baby spiders summoned as well as bursting bodies. So I thought, "Hey, why not go the extra step?" 2) Enchanted torch. Basically a candlelight, but it's a floating torch. The reasoning would be a warmer light, possibly have it float farther away (I play in third person and candlelight is a pain in the ass) ..and because it'd be cool as f***. 3) Partial shapeshifting. Example: you have the right to BEAR arms. 8) (or stag legs, saber arms, maybe a dragon's head) Each would be a temporary alteration spell and would have their own benefits. Bear arms would have a chance to stagger or cause bleed damage or something. Saber arms would have a higher crit chance (or bleed instead of bear idk). Dragon head for a short-ranged, small flame breath attack like once every 6 seconds while it's summoned or something. Stag legs to go fast (a horse body, like a centaur, would be cooler but I thought the more legs the harder it would be to make) I'll add more as I think of stuff. I don't need credit or anything if a mod is made. Don't really see a reason. It'd just be cool if one was made.
  2. I check for that almost every time I start the game. Both Skyrimprefs.ini files have that setting. And there isn't a duplicate line anywhere or anything. I also set them both to read-only after having an issue where they kept reverting back to defaults. I'll try different versions of the binaries, thanks for the suggestion!
  3. Yessir. I also just did a complete uninstall/skyrim data folder cleaning of all lighting mods (it was just the ELEFX), that cloud mod, and the fog thing that was required for Insomnia. I removed anything that was related to ENBs, including the wrapper thing. I compared my Skyrim main folder to my friend's to make sure I didn't have extra .dlls. I opened my game after that and got this.. ridiculous amount of gamma/brightness on my skyline/horizon. I can't find a pic of it bah. I banged my head against the wall for about 2 hours and messed with some settings, didn't work. Decided to install that first Mistveil ENB that worked before, just for shits and because I really wanted to just play Skyrim. The skyline issue seems to have resolved now. The face of my character is still a bit dark, though. And I have no doubt that the Insomnia ENB would be unbearably dark again. It also seems that I can modify my settings, and see actual results, in the in-game Shift+Enter thing. TL;DR- Reinstalled all ENB-related things, one issue is fixed. Darkness issue possibly related to one of the required mods for Insomnia?
  4. Hello all, TL;DR: I have an ENB and my day time is stupid dark. Messing with ingame sliders or .ini files does absolutely nothing. Long version: First off I've recently started using ENBs. Like within the past week. I used Mistveil first and it was quite lovely. Then I saw Insomnia. totes up my alley. I fully uninstalled the Mistveil before installing Insomnia. I followed the instructions exactly. Downloaded required mods, fixed the load order, changed the two .ini files... Started up my game and it was gorgeous, albeit a bit too dark. But it was nighttime. So whatever. Waited until it was noon the next day and clear skies (I found this out by using shift+f12 to disable the ENB)... and I got this. I mean I was expecting that sort of effect at like.. dawn or dusk. With overcast. But not midday with clear skies. So.. I used the ctrl+shift ENB menu thing to mess with the shaders and effects. I pretty much tried high and low values for every light related effect with "curve", "contrast", "shadows", "dark" etc. Also general/daytime ambient light levels. At first I thought I was just picking the wrong ones.. but I tried switching a few to really really different variables (moving a slider from 0.25 to 5.00) and still saw no change. I then tried the enbseries.ini. Nadda. I downloaded the Imaginator in hopes of being able to change something. I had some weird glitch with that, got the MCM menu mod for that, yadda yadda moved some sliders and nothing happened. I uninstalled that, tried the ENB Customizer thing. Nadda. Oh and I reset all of the values back to their originals before trying to change a different setting. Just so I would know which one did what (in this case-they all do nothing) I have tried both the Wrapper and Injector versions of ENB Series, and made the appropriate changes to my ENB preset things when necessary. I could rarely get the Injector to work.. but when I did it was the same dark crap I've been getting with the Wrapper. I got rid of all Injector things and went back to the Wrapper just for the fact that it started up reliably. I started with the Mistveil ENB, no additional mods were required. It looked great. I then switched to Insomnia (Default package). I had to install the core files for Enhanced Lights and FX, Dramatic Clouds, and Revamped Exterior Fog. I also installed the Mindflux Particle Patch at recommendation on the Insomnia page. Loaded it up and you know the rest. At some point I uninstalled Insomnia and tried out Unreal Cinema ENB, to test whether it was an Insomnia related setting or not. I had the same issue in Unreal Cinema. Although I could actually see a few details on my character's face and the sky wasn't blinding white.. it was still awful. I completely uninstalled that and have tried out the Insomnia Quality package. No change in visuals from the Default package. Computer spec stuff: (let me know if I should add some other thing) Card name: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 Manufacturer: Intel Corporation Chip type: Intel(R) HD Graphics Family DAC type: Internal Device Type: Full Device Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0416&SUBSYS_380117AA&REV_06 Display Memory: 1792 MB Dedicated Memory: 0 MB Shared Memory: 1792 MB Current Mode: 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (59Hz) Monitor Name: Generic PnP MonitorMod list is attached. I didn't want to spam any more than I already have. I'm not very very knowledgeable on this stuff.. but if someone can at least figure out what sort of issue it is, that would be awesome. And I guess there are two issues.. one being that nothing I do modifies the light levels in game and the other being that it's really f***ing dark. Thanks!
  5. Another thanks, guys. Had the same problem, tried everything, searched everywhere but this fixed it immediately!
  6. I'm sorry to necro a thread but... I've been searching for hours on this issue. No other result had pictures like yours, the same white stuff I was seeing. I tried everything the other searches listed, and everything in this thread. as a last resort I started turning off my mods one by one and discovered that Wet and Cold was causing it. I'm not sure how or why but disabling it fixed the issue permanently. I don't know if you solved your issue for good, or if this is even relevant, but maybe it'll help someone else who is searching  Edit: I've had the Wet and Cold mod for a while now, and it only just started doing this on my one character
