eeeh... That's the thing... I'm a bit anal-retentive I suppose, in any event that means I don't like CoT because it makes the game feel too different for me.

My screen has a bit of backlight bleed, and it really bothers me when I use a ENB that makes the nights super dark. (Which is most of them.) Does anyone know of an ENB that maintains vanilla brightness levels at night?

There is a benefit to capping frame rate... you get more even frame times for less stuttering and less variable framerate for more consistant performance. Your hardware will also be worked less.

Skyrim is not as optimized as it could be... there are some places where you will get FPS drop no matter what. Inside the entrance to Riften while looking down the center to the center of town, I drop to 50 FPS... Other places in the game will get some drop as well... your 2x 780 is more than enough for 60 FPS with those mods but the poor optimization prevents that, maybe it could be alleviated with CPU overclock I'd recommend to disable vsync and cap fps at or just below 60 through enblocal.ini, or use adaptive vsync the nvidia control panel

Merging leveled lists for weapon and armor mods is pretty easy for skyrim but the "Wrye Flash" for new vegas looks outdated and buggy, should I just use that or is there a better way?

Video card recommendations and input please

At the very top of your budget, there's the GTX 770 4GB. Great performance and features. I feel though that your older CPU may bottleneck it a bit. If I remember correctly it's not actually a quad but a dual with hyperthreading? -
If this gets off the ground, my aim will be to retexture mostly things not covered by NMCs packs, specifically the DLC's as NMC didn't touch them except, of course, if the DLC re-used anything from the main game. But there are plenty things in the DLC's that are unique, and I really want to give them an upgrade.

Augh! But those two little things already took so long. Alright, I think I'll give a shot at finishing this one. If only I knew where it showed up in-game ಠ_ಠ Perhaps try something less intensive first, like a table/chair or if you want metal a car ect? Your going for some pretty detailed and large stuff it might be better to find something in Goodsprings to retexture for criticism and questions. I mean this is all just suggestions from a fellow texture worker, you dont have to do any of it. That's probably a good idea... this one here has a bunch of elements and I'm probably not equipped to juggle them all right at the moment. I'm going to go find a chair or something to retexture... do you mind if I PM you the result for your thoughts when I'm done?

Hi all, I'm starting a retexture project for some things in the Fallout games. I haven't really made any textures before but I've decided to give it a try. So far I've done a couple sections of a texture and I want you guys' thoughts the little I have done so far. Here's the original texture, upscaled from 1024^2 pixels to 4096^2 pixels. Make sure to click through and view full resolution for all of these. http://imageshack.com/a/img823/7743/do3q.png And here's it with the work I have done on it so far: http://imageshack.com/a/img40/9231/m73n.png Closeup of retextured areas: (Left is original, right is new.) http://imageshack.com/a/img163/9533/uleh.png And here, top is original bottom is new http://imageshack.com/a/img713/9454/e5uv.png

What kind of framerate issues? A 670 is good enough for Skyrim on ultra but that CPU is going to hold you back a bit.

Thanks god obsidian dosn't make an other fallout :)

I think it's worth mentioning that Obsidian is made up of a lot of the people that worked on Fallout and Fallout 2.
