The NMM mods list doesn't show the load order, it's just a list of installed mods sorted alphabetically. The load order is shown on the "Plugins" tab. In any case, I suggest you install and run BOSS. That should order the known plugins at least. Edit: nm, TonyTitan beat me to it.

I like tags, but their utility could be enhanced by a feature seen on other sites: When viewing a particular mod/file, display a list of similar mods ranked by tag match. This would make it easier to see alternatives to a mod when it's almost but not quite what you're looking for. Apologies if this feature is already available somewhere and I've missed it.
