  1. In response to post #34157880. #34160350 is also a reply to the same post. Heck, if you're unlucky like me, the game won't even work with all mods uninstalled and fresh config/verify files done. Just scummy as hell. It sucks. If you can find a way to evade updating, highly recommend it.
  2. This update literally broke everything for me. Vanilla un-modded game or modded out the wazoo, doesn't matter, the only difference seems to be crashing half the time versus all of the time. Save can't load, no custom content can be loaded, they transformed my game into a pre-launch version of itself. I don't understand how they managed a flub up this big. My friend using mods? He's just fine. Playing with them, loading custom content, he had a few saves corrupted, that's it. And now I hate him. Thanks Bethesda.
  3. I don't really post on the forums here much...and I'm not sure if this should go in requests or not since it's not really a request... I have 90% of a Draenei Race Mod working on my hard drive. Permissions and such aside, it's pretty much a Draenei race, ready to go, and be made into a mod. It is missing a few things, however... Notably...hooves/proper leg positioning/posture. So, I was wondering if someone with the capability of making said models(I'm unable to myself), would like to team up with me and make this mod happen. Things I can provide: The coding of the race and the plugin itself, as well as statting them, the textures and various fluff parts for the race, and even a few kit-bashed armor types, and finally, a few weapons to go with the race. I'm just looking for an experienced/willing modeller who could create the lower-body/hooves needed to complete the race, and adapt them to the vanilla armors and boots that already exist to complete the picture. Any help is appreciated, please PM me via Nexus if you are interested, as I probably won't look back at this thread.
  4. New Creation Kit update fixes the issue. The issue: Custom body/textures disappearing. Solution: Model/Skin selections turned off in the build of the Creation Kit we had, re-checking them fixes it. CONVERSELY If you have invisible first person hands in your game, go to your custom race and body data tab and re-check the correct body parts under that tab, and walla, they show up in game once more. A mod can close this if need-be, solutions found!
  5. Good find. My aforementioned friend just started having the same issues, so I guess that's a temp fix until they sit down and fix their broken junk...again.
  6. Well, from what I'm gathering, it happens when anything is saved, since it doesn't matter what change you've made, if the change is from an earlier version, or if you make no changes at all, as long as you save it in the updated Creation Kit, the race/armor/whatever disappears if it's custom-made(not existing in the vanilla game by default). As I said, my friend has no issue. Isn't there a Bethesda customer support or something relating to Skyrim?
  7. Not sure what happened with the ninja-patch the Creation Kit got, but after the patch, editting ANY armor or custom race-containing ESP causes all custom textures/models to not show up in game, IE, they simply disappear as if they had never been. Loading a backup ESP before 6/11 causes the models and textures to reappear like clockwork. I can pretty much reproduce this 100% of the time, meaning I can't edit any of my custom races, or they'll basically ALL become invisible(all custom races, not just the one I edit). I've tried to reinstall the Creation Kit(deleting the local content for it on Steam), and I don't have any clue what else to do. A friend of mine appears to have no issues whatsoever, even trying to reproduce the same bug doing the same steps as me. His somehow works, mine does not, and I don't understand. Any help to get rid of this issue is greatly appreciated, so many problems caused by the latest patch, and editing it in the creation kit is my only way to fix things. =/
  8. Had a character who's almost a month old, play her every day, then suddenly, I enter the game today, and I get an animation bug while in sneak-mode. This happens, constantly, and is breaking, the character will walk in place, roll if I try to move forwards, and hang if I try to move side-to-side. I fixed it somehow by turning off a few mods and loading an older save, but then it happens as soon as I enter a city, or certain interiors. I deleted my animation-related mods and all folders associated with them, cleaned up my save game folders, turned off all mods except the one essential mod for the custom race, moved the scripts folder to avoid that interacting with it, load up the aforementioned older save: I still get the bug. The annoying thing is, I move to another character, and I get the same bug. This happens on every single character, no matter what, even with every mod except one disabled, and the one mod left is a race mod. My game is basically broken now, short of going through every single modded mesh and texture in order to find out which couple are broken, and I don't even know what's causing it, and in turn, how to fix it. Has anyone had a stupid bug like this? I pretty much can't even play Skyrim because of this, sneaking is a huge part of my game, and even if it wasn't, that's a large part of the game that just broke for no reason.
  9. Does that explain my save corruption, however? =/ I've never gotten purple textures, other games don't seem to have issues, it's only Skyrim.
  10. Happened today, constantly past a certain point when Steam was acting up today. Basically, I'd play for a certain amount of time(usually an hour or so), get to a certain point, then the game would suddenly, and without warning, crash to a black screen then to desktop very quickly. I'd re-load and try to load the save I made before the crash, and it'd crash again. I'd try loading the save game before that one, crash. I ended up losing two hours of time, and about nine saves(manual saves, mind you) to reload a save that would actually work. Figuring maybe a mod had screwed up that area, I disabled my mods. I played some more, reached a certain point, same deal, crashed to desktop, saves would crash on load. Figuring it might be the area I was playing in(Dawnstar, by the lighthouse), I moved onto Winterhold, reached Alftand, went into the ruined tower, got to the trap button on the desk, turned it on, took two steps, game crashed, save crashes on load, and I lost eight saves this time. I replicated it step-for-step in thirty minutes(I was tired of losing progress), and got the EXACT SAME result, I turn on the trap, move towards it, game crashes, saves can't be loaded and crash, losing fifteen minutes and all of my saves but two in that play-session. Has anyone run into this before? Is this a new bug thanks to the patches? Is there a solution? I run Skyrim with the 4GB launcher, SKSE(latest version), and normally run about six light-weight mods. I have never had crashing issues this serious before, only random crashes everyone else likely gets, and not often at that. I run Skyrim on a Windows 7, 64-bit PC, 12gb of RAM, Nvidia GT 580 card. Any help is greatly appreciated.
  11. Bump de bump, lots of people wishing and hoping, I just wish we all could model it in, I imagine all it takes is messing around with a few vertices...
  12. Well, I imagine it probably isn't too hard if you know how to modify the Fallout 3 head model, as it's not as simple as just specifying what ears you want in game like it was in Oblivion, since the head and ears are melded together now. Just doubt anyone's thought of doing it really until now, as Elves in sci fi are a wierd concept for most people.
  13. Hello, I enjoy modding quite a bit, was going to be making one involving the Oasis, but also, I had wondered why no one had modified the Fallout 3 head to be compatible with the various Elven ear character mods floating around for Oblivion? I know the Oblivion ears are copyrighted and can't be ported... I can't make one myself, as I haven't the time or ability to learn modeling that in-depth...If anyone has made such a mod in their free-time but hasn't shared it, or has felt the inkling but didn't see encouragement to make one...I would be giddy to be contacted and pick it up! :thanks:
  14. I'm trying to add some new voices to my game, I searched around the forum and found this thread and I see you mentioning .wav format, but the voice files are all in ogg vorbis format, what specific formats work with voice files, what do they have to be converted to?
