  1. Skyrim and the Creation Kit just recently updated, and I'm now unable to compile any scripts. It turns out that the update helpfully deleted all of the base game source files. Custom script sources and DLC sources remain, but important scripts like Actor, ObjectRefence, etc. all are missing sources. This leads me being unable to compile anything, because I can't extend any of those scripts. Compiled versions still remain, so the game runs fine. Verifying both game and Creation Kit integrity through Steam does nothing. Has this happened to anyone else? If not, is there anywhere where I can download all of these source files? EDIT Bethesda did indeed release a Creation Kit update today. http://www.bethblog.com/2015/03/26/skyrim-workshop-file-limit-is-now-limitless/ One part is: That RAR file is in the Data folder, not the Scripts folder. If anyone else is having this issue, you need to unpack that RAR. Well, at least this solves the problem. Wish the automatic updates would come with automatic patch notes so I wouldn't have to go searching for this.
  2. Again, that's way cooler than what I was expecting. The Silver Bolts are just like a Silver Sword - slightly weaker than Steel, but cause more damage to undead, ghosts, and werewolves. Silver Sunburst are like the exploding steel or dwemer bolts, but without an element. They're silver bolts that strike with a sunlight explosion that only harms undead for 15 points. As far as bolt quiver, it looks like Steel Bolt and Dwemer Bolt both use the same quiver. The only difference seems to be a color change on the fletching. That same bolt bag/quiver should work fine here too.
  3. Those Tranquilizer Darts would look really cool. And that silver model looks fine, too. If you look at the game's Steel and Dwemer Bolts, they aren't very impressive looking. If you gave me something as nice as what you've pictured above it would be well beyond what I expected. Two questions: are you willing to make a secondary appearance for Silver Sunburst, by the way? It would be just like MadCat221's thing, using Glow Dust (sort of pale blue I think) on them. Also, I see you don't have any mods, but would you like an installer for something you're working on or something else in return?
  4. I've created fully functional Tranquilizer Darts (Deus Ex inspired), Silver Bolts, and Silver Sunburst Bolts (the silver aren't the same methods everyone else is using, these correctly use the same damage bonus as silver swords). They work and are craftable, and I can even add them to inventories without any conflict. But I am not a modeler. All that's preventing me from releasing this mod is that I don't have unique appearances for these new crossbow bolts. These are tiny things, so I'd guess it would be simple for an experienced modeler to do. I'm asking for basically a shiny retexture of the Steel Bolt (for silver) and a steel bolt with the tip removed and replaced with a dart-head (for the tranq darts). If you wanted to make something like this for the Silver Sunburst (they use glow dust) I'd certainly appreciate that too. But I can't do this. If you can, I'd really appreciate it and would fittingly credit you as coauthor of the work. If you'd like, I might also be able to do something for you in return. Have a complex mod with multiple parts and you'd like an installer for NMM? Better Magic and now Character Creation Overhaul use installers I made. How about one of those?
  5. Dutch version is available now. A compatibility version for use with Better Sorting has also been added.
  6. If only you can kill followers, they're probably set to be Protected. That's just like Essential, but with the single exception that the player is still allowed to kill Protected targets. You'd have to remove that status too.
  7. French version is up. A Polish version may be available later from the same translator. I could always use other languages, too.
  8. I've modified Better Magic to add easy installation with NMM and multi-lingual support, but that doesn't do a lot of good if I only have English as an option. If anyone here is fluent in other languages and would like to give me a translation, I'd really appreciate it. It should be very simple to perform as well, and should only require use of Skyrim String Localizer. Just make the translations and send me the files. I'll add them to the normal download, give you credit, and you'll have permission to upload the entire mod to a site that focuses on mods in that language. I may already have a French version coming soon, but I haven't heard anything back yet on that.
  9. The update seems to have done nothing but check a box on the executable that allows it to use up to 4GB of RAM. There's no option you need to mess with.
  10. I don't like that the elemental damage cap is +30% in the base campaign and +50% in Awakening. It's extremely easy to reach this cap with just a couple items. I'd like to just modify this so that there is no set cap (or 255%). However, I do not know how to do this. I had first hoped someone else had made a mod already. I searched and found nothing. I then hoped someone discussed it on these forums. Nothing. I then tried to look through all the game's files using the toolset and Explorer. I'm totally stumped. If Awakening changes this value, then it means it's possible to change. I'd really love to know how to do that. Pretty much all I need is just to know which file would even store such data. With at least that much information, I'm sure I can go find it. Does anyone have any idea where this setting is stored? Edit: Apparently properties.xls has several worksheets in it. This is why I didn't see it in there when I was searching through at first. Edit 2: Okay, it works now. I've changed the max allowed to be 1000%, just to make sure it's something you'd never reach. I'll upload this later to the Nexus so that others can have this without having to learn how to do it first. It was actually pretty simple once I learned the basics. Modding Dragon Age is a little different from other games, but it's not too bad. Final Edit: It's posted now. If anyone else thought the cap was silly and wanted it removed, I can save you the five minutes of removing it yourself. The file is located right here on the Nexus.
