  1. Sorry man, I don't know jack s*** about geck. I only made some armors in nifskope and blender, other people have put them in game for me. :) If you didn't change any textures, you don't need to change anything in nifskope or geck, paths to the right textures should still be in your nitrishapes.
  2. cant get headwear to adjust to head size. headwear is nitrishape, rigged to skeleton (no nistringextradata). i tried methods described in jaysus headgear tutorial and kikaimegami's minitutorial, to no avail. to reiterate 1) if i export my rigged nif as an obj and use it in conformulator to create an egm, then update facegen model availability in geck, nothing happens. headwear does not adjust to the head. 2) if i drop headwear to ground level in blender, remove vertex groups and unparent, export to nif with weapon body location: helm selected, then do conformulation - headwear behaves as if not rigged (cause its not, i know), and hovers around the head. 3) if i use method 2 (drop head, unparent) to create an egm, but use original, rigged nif with that egm, headwear displays properly but doesnt adjust to the head. id be extremely grateful if somebody could point me to some more detailed tutorial, or give some advice.
  3. im trying to make a few simple black retextures with gimp, and increasing contrast and/or decreasing brightness causes random purple squares to appear ingame, in nifskope and in geck, but not in gimp. i tried desaturating and greyscale mode, doesn't help. i'm also seeing those squares on other black-and-white retextures (ie black metal armor from tailor maid).
  4. why is there still an option to search by average rating from 1 to 10 in advanced search? there should be rather 'amount of endorsements' thing now, right?

  6. now i tried to adjust size and positioning of elements with transform/edit, changes display properly in nifskope but no changes are visible in game. can i break down blocks in smaller parts in nifskope? ie sandals on ragamuffin outfit are part of the same block as pants, can i separate them?
  7. it worked, thank you very much! this way i was also able to add merc mask and sleeves from vanilla painspike (they would give me insta ctd before). how do i make left sleeve, called pipboyoff, disappear when pipboy is on?
  8. @ jackpack - i just renamed outfit.nif in wastelandchild01 to outfit.nif.bak and then placed my armor, called outfit.nif there. i'll get to geck when i'm done with armor, now i just want to make it work, i'll worry about placing in the world, giving proper stats and so on later. ;]

  10. thx jackpack i'm using fake patch i replaced existing outfit's nif with mine, so i didn't worry about ground models. when i finally got new armor to work without ctd's, it turned out my walking and running animations are screwed when the weapon is equipped. unequipping the weapon does not fix the animation. i didn't 'combine the properties' cause doing so seemed to cause ctd's, is this related to walking/running animations?
  11. hello, i've added pieces of shoulder pads mod to ragamuffin outfit with copy branch / paste branch, then added them as children, loaded save game, everything works, until i exit the game. when i load the same save again and try to put modified armor on, the game ctd's. if i restore the original nif, run the game, exit, and then put my modified nif in - armor works fine again, even if i save and load game, but the problem repeats after exiting to windows. anyone knows what might be the problem?
