  1. I know this isn't the place for this discussion. But as pretty much all the comments are about how sucky ESO is I'll get this off my chest. First off, the beta build we all played this past weekend IS NOT the latest beta build. The latest build is the one with collision detection, the new anchors, improvements, etc. While I think they should have probably released it to the masses to stress test their servers I'm sure there was a reason they didn't. Certain people have special access to a different build than everyone else and they are testing it there. We all participated in a stress test with an older build. Skyrim is not the "holy grail" everyone makes it out to be. For one thing, it had serious bugs when it first came out. It still has countless bugs that have to be fixed or addressed by the community. I realize we don't have the option to fix their bugs for them with ESO, not should we have to, but s#*!, it was a FREAKING BETA. Get over it. I just hope they do fix most of the bugs in time. I don't see an issue thus far with the questing. It's miles better than any questing I've done in the many mmos I've played. The only thing comparable was the main storylines in SWTOR. Yet again I point to Skryim since everyone has to compare ESO to Skyrim which in itself is a problem. Yeah Skyrim has some great quests. But the randomized "go kill something in a place I have never loaded with this character before" gets repetitive. Point is, I actually feel important for doing the quests I've done so far in ESO. Skyrim's quests aren't godlike in comparison. Graphics? How can you b&@*$ about the graphics at all? Runs smoother than enb with many of the effects. It's pretty enough for me. ...just want more hairstyles Imperial paygate? Whatever...don't care. It's a preorder bonus. I mostly got it for the Rings of Mara so I can marry my partner. At least Elder Scrolls doesn't discriminate. Come group with me in ESO after launch if you're not part of the hating majority around here.
  2. The Nexus is a rare gem of the internet. I've gotten way more out of it than the membership money I've paid. Thanks for all you do Robin.

  7. While I can understand that people get used to how things are or how something looks especially a website you have used like I have for years that when something new comes along it takes you out of your comfort zone. However, comfort zone or not my first impression of the new site is negative. When I first saw it it rememinded me of the look that many other sites have that I do not like. I actually like how the old TESNexus style is different than everyone else. I know you stated you were going to the new format whether people liked it or not. If that is the case then I hope there are some customization options available such as color scheme and frame sizes. Don't get me wrong, I love TESNexus as it is the only site I use for Oblivion and Dragon Age addons. I've even thought about getting a lifetime membership. But you wanted feedback on the new site design so I gave it. Maybe I just can't stand the "web 2.0" look... :)
  8. Running with: Resolution: 1920x1080 HDR enabled All video settings maxed (except Self Shadows, hate those) Anti aliasing and AF forced through Radeon Catalyst Video card: Radeon 5870 with latest driver I am using Qarl's Texture Pack I've only noticed this recently but I haven't been playing Oblivion much, was going to get back in to playing it. I have a very thin white border around my screen when I have any type of anti aliasing enabled. If i turn it off and leave HDR on it goes away. I didn't notice this problem months ago and granted it's not too big of a deal but it is noticeable. I believe it is only happening in outside places but haven't tested enough to prove that. My computer is powerful enough to have HDR and AA on at the same time and the game runs very smooth. After playing with AA on I really can't go back without it. Thanks for any help. If it matters here are full specs: Phenom II X4 BE 965 3.4ghz 4gb GSkill DDR3 1600 ram Sapphire Radeon 5870 1gb Vapor-X video card Fatality SB soundcard (not that windows 7 uses hardware sound anymore :( ) Windows 7 64bit
