Mod Manager 255 plugin limit. Is there a fix?

zMerge via MO2 is the best way. I have a massive amount of mods and because of zMerge, I am able to merge like mods (aka all weapon mods together, all armor mods together, etc) and my list is under 245.

 

 

Side note: I learned this from another modder a year ago, and it's worked out great ever since:

 

It is NOT RECOMMENDED to have EXACTLY 255 plugins. The max should be 253 (and recommended to even lower at 250) which is best for the game engine.

For example, when you disenchant an object, you do not get the real and original enchantment. You get a COPY of the original enchantment with a NEW CODE that starts with FF and FF in decimal is 255. For that and for other reasons, the game NEEDS some slots of plugins for correct engine functionality. If you have exactly 255 plugins active, the game will replace the LAST plugin with the code 255=FF with their own plugin for making the dynamic spawn.
