The card malfunctioned twice - first after about half a year, next after about a year and 3 quarters. It turns out that the 3-year manufacturer's warranty isn't worth the ink it took to print it on to the box, since the postage to get the card shipped back to the manufacturer via the original points of sale is prohibitive.
