Hi, I'm having trouble completing "Blessings of Nature" or whatever the quest is called with Nettlebane in it. Whenever I go to the Eldergleam Sanctuary and try to enter, it always crashes. Here's the log:

That is not a crash log. Papyrus is something else so it says exactly nothing :)

 

Evergleam Sanc.... CTD when you do what? Entering?

 

Did you happen to have this follower mod installed with this pretty lady in that place and uninstalled it? If you did you might have to re-install it, ... If not... see if disabling auto-saves helps...

Nope, still got the mod installed. And it worked before, and I can spawn her near me without a crash, so I don't think it's that particular mod.

 

I'm thinking it could be Alternate Start, or Interesting NPCs causing the crash. I don't know what else could be affecting that specific space. So far, no other cell has caused me to crash.

You do not mention BOSS. Are you using it? Have you looked at the log and addressed all of the messages it gives you? Properly placed mods BOSS did not recognize according to the mod author's instructions? It could simply be a matter of load order, or something like that.

Well, here's basically my log if that's what you're asking for. The warning with the uskp_addon should be ignored, as BOSS incorrectly believes that the current addon is in the current USKP. The Jaysus warning is also incorrect, as I've gotten the exact patch it directs me towards. I've installed it, and it still gives me that warning.

 

Also, I reorganize my load order after running BOSS so as to place unrecognized mods in the correct order with other mods.

I'm having a similar issue. It crashes when I get anywhere near the sanctuary. I had a similar problem on a testing save with basically the same mods, on the road to riverwood just past the guardian stones. Even after disabling EVERY mod including DLCs I still crashed everytime. Clean save, confirmed with save tool. Played through helgen vanilla. Only after bombing my data folder, ini, and skse plugins, etc, and re installing everything was I able to pass the stones. I've heard talk of hearthfires being to blame for this, as well as skytest or other animal mods. I'm reluctant to start disabling and testing as it utterly failed in the past.

I'm not including my papyrus log as it says jack squat about anything related to the crash. Last entry is an autosave. Is there another log for crashes? The crash log mentioned above, is there such a thing?

Boss is fairly happy. Both the meko mod and cloaks have been cleaned with tes5edit, don't listen to it's lies. Also I only use better sorting for ammo, books, potions, and soul gems. No misc, no major crafting conflicts. I don't know where to put the separate bodies, but don't think it's the problem. It is one of the very few that was not in the mod build which resulted in persistent CTDs before.

I also heard that some people have luck just ignoring the crash spot for a while and playing elsewhere, returning days later in game, and having no crashes. So, for now the gildergreen can suck it while I cash in on all these bandit bounties....

 

[update] So after maybe a week or two in game after I did the staff of saguine quest bit with the hagraven I headed to the sanctuary with no problems. That idiot who was following me got eaten by wolves somewhere on my journey, butt f*#@ it, he was a noob... Anyway, seems as though any persistent outdoor ctd should be ignored for at least a week in game before you can really determine if it's really persistent. Oh well.

The follower Maurice Jondrelle is very touchy. I had the same ctd when nearing the sanctuary. After some research that returned nothing useful the comment above "That idiot who was following me got eaten by wolves somewhere on my journey" made me think the follower was an issue. When I returned to some saves each time I found he was either stuck and had lagged far behind or was under attack. I was saved at a crash point and able to defeat some enemies nearby releasing the AI and allowing me to continue to the sanctuary without crashing. If all else fails get Maurice killed.
